Old storm windows work like new.
My place has a load of aluminum triple track storm windows from the days before double glazing and vinyl replacement window sales flyers in every delivery of junk mail. The glazing spline holds the glass in the frame. Over the years, the bottom spline gets tired off holding the glass pane and starts to crush. The top spline slips and falls out. The glass starts to rattle when the wind blows and the cold comes in through the gaps. Previous owners tried sealing the windows with packing tape. You can imagine how good that looked. On the plus side, they didn't slather the gap with silicon caulking. P 7768 Glass Glazing Spline is an exact replacement. It is easy to install by pulling out the old spline (if it's still there), and using a putty knife to slide the new in. Soapy water works for lubrication, if you need it. Cut the ends on a miter with a razor knife and it's good for another 30 years.

When I moved into my house in 1999 there were a couple of older storm windows that were missing the Glazing spline. Since the Windows were already 30 years old I was not surprised when the local hardware store told me replacement splines were not available. I also checked the local home center with no success. Instead I did the best I could securing the glass in the frame with tape, and move all the loose window pains into an unused bedroom. Its now 18 years later my Son who grew up in that room is off to College. While painting the room, I decide to try Amazon to locate the replacement part. Sure enough, I purchased 200' of this material and it worked perfect. An exact fit. Since other windows were showing signs of deterioration I spent last Saturday cleaning up and replacing the Splines on all the storm windows in the house. Over the years my son would complain about the window rattling in the wind, or condensation between the glass. I wonder if he will notice the change.

Good quality
A little bit tough to get down the technique to get this to work, but after doing 30+ storm windows I can do one storm in about 10 minutes. Try pushing in the spline with the rubber end of a pencil or a dull chop stick. Wear gloves to protect your hands.

Needs better information
Seems like a good product but it did not specify what thickness of glass it was for.
