Even though it makes me looked like a sausage it does keep my hair out of my face when I swim so that is what I cared about. No your hair will not be dry, and if you have long hair your ears might still stick out. At least it doesn't tug your scalp so bad like all the other latex, silicone or what not caps that give you a headache.

More Comfortable Than Latex ➙ And No Hair Pulling!

The media could not be loaded. I've tried a few spandex swim caps over the years, and this one is the best I've used. The seams are all well sewn and the fabric seems to me to be somewhat thicker and more resilient than some others by swimming brands I recognize. Note that this is very different from most traditional swim caps, which are made of some combination of latex and/or rubber (and thus entirely water proof). This swim cap is porous and water absorbent, given the fact that it's made of spandex. When you swim, your hair still gets wet wearing it. So, why use a swim cap like this? I prefer a spandex over a latex or rubber cap for swimming laps simply because 1) It keeps my hair out of my face and off my forehead 2) It doesn't tear at my hair when taking it on and off 3) I don't feel like my head is being smashed like a grape every time I wear it If you haven't used a spandex swim cap, I totally recommend one -- and this one seems to be a good deal. For me, comfortable gear makes lap swimming much more enjoyable and something I look forward to doing (as opposed to dreading). ................. This product was NOT given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after doing some comparison shopping and this review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

comfortable at first, does not last long

I swim 5 times a week for an hour, this cap was (and stays) comfortable around the brim, but the crown started getting really loose and saggy after about a couple months. I rinse the cap out after each swim, but now after 3 months, the spandex fabric is starting to delaminate and turning flakey white.

Will never go back to a silicone cap again

I have very thick hair just below my shoulders. I used to have a silicone swim cap that was supposedly made for long hair. Well, it was next to impossible to put on and would pop off my head. After about a month and a half it broke while I was trying to put it on. So, I searched for another option and found out about Lycra caps. These are so much better. They are so much easier to get on and they stay on. When using the silicone caps it felt like an Olympian effort just to squeeze the cap over my head. Not so with these. I bought two: this one and the TYR one and I like the TYR one somewhat better but this one is good too. The TYR one seems to have a snugger fit and is slightly longer so it comes down below my ears. For those who think a swim cap should keep your hair dry: I have NEVER in all my life found one that does. How could it? It would be impossible to get a water tight seal. So, if you are giving a bad review for any swim cap because it does not keep water out then you are a little misinformed.

Great looking and easy to get on and off

This is my third attempt at finding a swim cap that is snug without pulling. This one is a winner. I have an average head, with average hair length (just short of shoulder length) but the last two caps I tried were either too small or too large. This one is just right (with a nod to Goldilocks).The color is gorgeous and vibrant, it's easy to put on and take off, doesn't pinch, doesn't pull my hair and holds everything secure off my face. Since I wear an MP3 player on my goggles with the speakers just in front of my ears, a smooth fit that allows the ears to be free is important to me and this cap delivers. It doesn't keep my hair dry, but I didn't expect it to, since it's Spandex and not latex. (I just comb a little coconut oil through my hair before I get it wet and have found that the color and texture are unaltered by the chlorine.)

Only cap that I could get my tender headed kid to wear.

My daughter has super long thick hair and can’t deal with the slightest pulling. This is the only cap she has ever worn. Great!

Not made for water at all!!

I gave the is cap 2 stars because it did not keep the water out. I am keeping it to wear to bed as a night cap or just to keep my hair out of the way. I tried this cap out in the sink prior to wearing at the pool and it did not work. I only use a small amount of water and I had my hand inside and my hand was saturated. The cap is very comfortable and it did fit easily over my locs. NOT FOR WATER!!!

Wonderful, roomy swim cap!

I prefer lycra/spandex caps because they are easy to get on and off. It is made out of material similar to what your swim suit is made out of. This cap is comfortable fits my somewhat large head. This cap does the job of keeping my hair out of my face while swimming and keeps the rubber from my goggles/mask from pulling my hair. I wore this cap about 3-4 times a week over the past 4 months, swimming/snorkeling in the ocean and occasionally in a swimming pool. It has held up beautifully, not faded or stretched out. I rinse it with fresh water after each swim. I love it and the added security of being more visible when I am swimming in the ocean.

Like the fit , the material , head does not overheat as material is not waterproof and allows water on scalp.

Finally a swim cap that doesn't shrink your skull.

Easy to put on and take off, cap is not the usual head shrinking rubber that only comes in one size from all others. Very comfortable fabric, elastic around the rim holds cap comfortably in place while still allowing blood into your brain! I find Finis products to be the best value with excellent quality. I swim 4km per week and actually enjoy wearing this cap!

Not Really for Average Adult Head

Cap fits quite small - I would say more of a child's size versus adult. Fabric and construction is fine.

I've been looking for a swim cap that wasn't made from the usual material that is difficult to put on and pulls hair as you take it off. This one is perfect! It's made of a material like swim suits, so it doesn't keep water out (I wasn't looking for that anyhow), sits comfortably, doesn't come off while you swim and is easy to get off. I'd definitely buy again.
