Nice lock with a few things to note.
I ordered this to make it easier to get in and out of the house without the need for a key. The lock is well made and fairly easy to install and program. I did run into a few issues. The first being the plate that mounts to the edge of the door that the deadbolt comes out of is thicker then the same plate on my already installed deadbolt and most I have seen in the past. If you have a small gap where the door closes this may not be an issue but the door I installed it on has a tight fit so I had to get out the hammer and chisel and make the pocket deeper so the plate would sit flush. I have done this in the past so it was not a big deal for me but maybe more difficult for others without the correct tools. The second issue is with the programming. It will hold 50 codes but I could not get it to let me store a code in slot 01 which I think is because this is where the master code is stored. I just used the slot 08 it mentions in the instructions for programming and it worked fine. I put in multiple codes because each person in the household wanted their own code. One thing I want to recommend is to be sure to change your master code as they all come with the same master code and that code unlocks the door. The first thing I did was change the master code and record it in a safe place. The lock requires 4 AA batteries to operate so be sure to have some on hand for the install. Other then the above the lock was easy to install and operate. It performed as expected so I give it 4 Stars.

No Need For Additional Drilling, Fairly Straightforward Programming
This keyless entry deadbolt lock works as expected. The install of the lock to the existing door was very simple and easy to manage. Programming the lock was not difficult. The instructions were well written and fairly straightforward. The overall look of the lock from outside is good. The attempt to make the modern buttons work with an elegant oil rubbed bronze finish and style is about as good as can be hoped for. The manufacturer took care in their design considerations. The lock feels fairly solid from the the outside. The visible portion showing from inside of the door is mostly a high density plastic. While it looks fine, it doesn't quite have the same level of quality feel as the outside of the door does. I did have a little difficulty regarding the install. The only power for this lock is 4ea AA batteries. So if the motor experiences any resistance when the deadbolt is sliding into place, it is easy to hear it. Also, the lock will beep with an error code when there is strain on the motor mechanism. We experienced this with our installation. Our door jam includes a weather stripping along the inside of the frame. So when the door closes, the weather stripping pushes against the door, to ensure a proper seal. In doing so, it also pushes the door back away from the frame, anywhere from 1/32 to 1/16 inch. This causes the deadbolt to slide along the back edge of the opening in the plate, located on the door frame. This isn't normally a problem, since we previously hand-turned the deadbolt lock, and it freely pushed in place with minimal effort. However, this proves to be a resistance the lock has difficulty with, given it's powered by only 4 AA batteries. Due to the size of the drilled out opening and the size of the prior plate installed on the door, it was not possible to use the plate provided by the lock manufacturer. So I had to file down the opening in the plate, to better accommodate the slightly shifted deadbolt, so it would decrease the resistance on the motor. I wasn't able to remove all of the resistance, but enough to improve the situation. Whenever typing in a code, we now try to pull the door more tightly closed, to help relieve the pressure and reduce the resistance. The weather stripping itself is an issue with our particular install, however, plenty of people in the world use a weather stripping to better seal their front door from possible drafts. So it is most likely not unique to only us. But the high sensitivity to the most minimal amount of resistance is definitely an across the board situation for the motor mechanism of this product, and I would recommend this as an area of development. This is the primary reason for why I give the product 4 stars. The motor is a basic functional element of the product, and I feel that it should be improved to minimize the possibility of error responses when trying to open or close the lock. All things considered, it's a good lock for the price point. I'd have no issues with recommending it, but I'd most likely include a disclaimer indicating the high sensitivity to resistance in the locking motor mechanism.

Straight forward deadbolt for great security
This is a very handsome deadbolt with very detailed installation and programming instructions. As with most all door hardware now, this deadbolt comes with everything you need to install it (minus 4 AA batteries, sold separately). One thing I would strongly suggest is to read through the instructions at least completely once before starting, as there may be one or two spots where you might get tripped up (I know I had one spot, when it came to running the control wire from the front to the back, where you have to remove a screw from inside the battery compartment that I missed on the first attempt and had to back up. Other than that, since I already had a hold in my door that worked for this deadbolt, physical installation was a snap. As with installation, read the programming instructions all the way through at least once before starting, as there are a couple of preset codes, a programming code in particular, that will be required when programming user codes as well as setting up auto lock, if desired. Overall, this is a very well made and sturdy lock. If you take your time on initial installation and programming, you will not be disappointed. A couple of additional notes worth mentioning, this lock is capable of storing up to 50 user codes before you have to delete any, so therefore, most folks will likely not have to worry about deleting any to make room for new ones. Also, if you do forget your code, or the batteries happen to go dead unexpectedly, the unit does have a keyway with two keys provided, so you will never be locked out due to a dead battery, big plus.

Nice digital padlock that has good lighting, touch, and other features
I have had a few digital door locks over4 the years and from a bit of experience with these types of gadgets I would say this item ranks currently quite well for initial common features most may want. As for starts, this padlock is quite easy to assemble and install. Other noticeable features are the nice click touch to the buttons, good button pad lighting, and good instructions. Most digital locks have multiple passcodes that can be assigned and this one does not lack on that feature either with up to 50! And I do like the bump proof added security. Great digital padlock design, however, I would like to use it for some months before I go 5 Star product to check its durability. With that said, I have had a digital lock in the past that jammed on me after 8 months of use. So, I will get back on this product's durability a bit later hopefully. Thanks.
