Not the color I expected

I bought these expecting a bark color, dark brown, like the picture. The pants are more a light putty so they won't work for me, but they do fit as expected, I typically wear size 14 and they fit pretty great. I have to be very choosy because I live life on the road so they are going back.

Just slightly too big

I am 5'3, 127pounds, 31 inch waist straight build. They mostly fit great and are roomy with awesome pockets but the waist was a little big. I ordered size 6. I don't like wearing a belt when I am hiking so that wasn't an option. I was about to send them back when I decided to just put 2 darts in the waist band centered over the back pockets. They fit perfectly now.

Beware the size 10 granite - nice pants, but may be used

I originally wrote and submitted this review while trying the pants on. The original review is still true ... BUT, after I submitted (and couldn't edit), I was removing the pants and noticed some markings. Inside the thigh was a sharp white line. I tried scraping it with my nail, but it seemed pretty set in the fabric. There was also another light scuff or stain on the upper thigh. And they smelled like laundry detergent (I noticed the smell when I first took them out of the package, but didn't originally pay it much mind). I also noticed another reviewer mention she got a used pair too, that smelled like detergent and had no tags. Same exact color and size as me (20, granite). And I realized mine had no tags either. I did buy these at a small discount to the regular price, but they were marketed as new. These are clearly USED. I like these pants. The fit is great... But I'm not keen on a used, stained pair. I'll be returning these to Amazon... But just beware if you're buying the size 10 granite at a slightly lower price, you might be getting this same pair. Original review: These fit very true to size. I'm pear shaped, and these are comfortable on my waist and hips. The pockets in the front are very deep/generous. So is the zipper pocket on the left. The velcro pocket on the right side is enough to fit my whole hand, but not much more. The back pockets are a bit smaller and more shallow than I'd like, and don't have any sort of closure. I'm 5'3" and the pants come down just to the bottom of my foot. When rolled as capris they hit midway between my calf and ankle.

Size chart inaccurate but nice pants

These pants seemed really, really nice quality-wise — but the size 6 was so big on me they would literally fall down to my ankles if I didn’t hold them up. Based on the size chart provided, my measurements fall within size 6. (I’m 5’4” 117 lb 28.5” waist, 34.5” hip.). Unfortunately 6 is the smallest size offered. Just beware when ordering that the size chart is inaccurate. The size 6 I received looked like a typical US size 6 or 8.

Slightly different fit from the shorts

After trying a pair of these shorts, I was hooked. I'd previously wore mostly Lee Riders mid-waist 6" inseam shorts. I bought one pair of the Solstice shorts for boating--over swimsuit. Now I own 6 pair of shorts (4 in S8--Covid5 for me and 2 in S6--soon). When I was searching for a long-pants version of the shorts, I didn't come across these. I bought another that was acceptable, but not so good (manufacturer cut near a pocket and seams that lose threads). The day AFTER my return window passed on the previous shorts, I discovered these. Wow. They are great--and half the price of the not-so-good ones. The color (gray--don't have the khaki yet but on the way) is the same. The 8 fits with room, but I will say that the waist is higher on the pants so a bit smaller. I'm 5'3" so the length is long, but roll-ups work. The pants also have a second left front-leg pocket with a zippered closure. These seem like a really good deal. They are comfortable and should travel easily. I can go places without even using a Runner's Buddy magnetic pouch. My phone, key fob, cc's and ID fit in the pockets. I can attach items to the belt loops (umbrella, sanitizer, etc) when needed. Even as I get back to my pre-Covid size, these should still be wearable because I prefer loose over fitted clothes. Hopefully, the S6 will fits as my previous 6's do.

I have threatened to marry these pants ????

I love these pants so much. I've bought two pairs so far and am looking forward to seeing how they wear in Texas summers. These pants have been great for hiking, shopping, and around the house. I have a Samsung Note phone and can actually fit it in every one of the pockets!!! I can't close the velcro pocket with it in there, but it'll still stay in the pocket if I need to have it in there for a bit. I finally have a pair of pants that looks good on (doesn't look like I mugged a dude for his pants, and my butt looks great), has amazing pockets, and is super comfortable in the warmer climate of Texas. I've been wearing these for several months now and can't wait for the price to come back down so I can buy a couple more pairs... I just wish they came in more (and more fun) colors.

Bad fit

These pants are built HUGE! The 6 is nowhere near that.

I liked these enough to by the other color

I got these for walking/hiking in sunny, hot climate. These have a basic, well sewn construction. Lightweight , Comfortable material. I am a solid sz 8 but after reading reviews I ordered a 10. I think a 8 would have been a ‘fitted’ look but I wanted a relaxed fit. If you have slim hips/straight figure I’d suggest ordering true to sz for a relaxed fit. The color is a paper bag brown with greenish (vs reddish) undertones. I don’t care for the flap pocket’s Velcro closure but overall great pants at a great value.
