Beautiful lights, bring a warm feeling, give it as much sun as possible

These garden lamps are amazing!!! The pair that arrives come pre-charged and it will last for the first night but I would recommend just leaving them off the first night and letting it full charge a few days before turning them on. Give this device as much sunlight as possible as to maximize if it can last the night. Most of the time these lamps last until about 4-5 am and then shut off. A full day in the sun pretty much gives you eight or so hours. You will need to manually turn them on for the first time (there is a button on the back). Let us talk about the design of the solar garden lamps. The overall base/rod of the garden light is made of plastic. It is pretty strong and pretty easy to assemble. I would recommend first putting in the stake side first before attaching the solar garden lamp to the stake. The reason is it is easier to place or hammer the stake into the ground then to try and force the whole lamp into the ground. You really risk breaking the rod if you try to put the whole thing in at once. I also recommend wetting the soil to make it easier to drive and secure the stake into the ground. What is unique about this lamp is that it comes with an on and off switch. This makes it easy for you to control if you want the lights on or off especially during times where they may not be getting a lot of direct sunlight and you want to stop use to allow it to recharge. We proceed to the battery and lighting. The lighting is a very mellow lighting but it is bright enough to give you enough lighting to light a path. It is designed to look like a small lantern and it gives a nice calming light effect to the garden or lawn area. There is no other setting but this warm light and you cannot adjust the brightness and such. I have not any issues with the default lighting. The battery from what I can tell can last about one night on a full sunny day charge. After a full days charge the lights turn on for about 8-9 hours before it beings to dim due to lack of power but by that time dawn is coming anyways. It is also water resistant so you do not have to worry about installing it in a place where it'll stay dry. It will even works with the sprinkler and hose spraying on them. Aside from dunking it into water, these thing will work with water coming from sprinklers. One thing I will note is that the solar panel should be cleaned off every few days as the dust and grim build up on it. I would just wipe it down to keep the solar panel exposed to the sun. Also it requires a FULL day in the sun to really have good lightning throughout the night. There are two lights provided and they all work well. I was able to place them on my small pathway in my back yard and it looks amazing. Overall these lights are great, they work well, they are easy to install, and they come with an on off switch when you are looking at long term no use. I highly recommend these lights for any garden/lawn!

Mission Style Glow UPDATE

The media could not be loaded. When you first look at these you'll recognize the Mission style, which surprisingly lends itself to a lot of different types of landscaping. As you can see, these are in front of a log cabin, and they work just as well as they would in a more modern surrounding. The video doesn't show how high quality they are. They look much more expensive than they are. They put out quite a bit of light. It's not a harsh light, very pleasing to the eye. After putting them together, which is a breeze, they are ready to charge in the sunlight. The sensors on the top soak up the sun and give a nice glow all night long. I also like the versatility of these. As you can see there is a loop on the top in case you would like to hang them instead of have them staked in the ground. They really make a house a home. UPDATE: Yesterday we were outside on the porch chatting with new neighbors. As the sun went down, the lights came on, and both of the commented on how beautiful they are. They all lit up at exactly the same moment, as if they were on a timer. Our new friends couldn't believe they were solar. Such a beautiful, warm glow.

One works, one doesn't

These arrived in good condition but once put together only one worked. I took it apart again and fiddled with the switch and battery thinking maybe one or the other wasn't making a good connection. Still nothing. Unfortunately this now leaves half of my garden without any light. So basically my money got spent on one light instead of two. The seller contacted me and offered a new set or a refund. I accepted the new set. When it arrived, it had the same problem as the first set. One worked, one didn't. I did at least end up with two that work. The seller has communicated well, and I appreciate their efforts.

The Batteries Wear Out At About 18 Months

These are great looking lights that put off a warm glow, perfect for my needs in which they're mounted on top of fence posts along the driveway. I bought 16 of these lights and have had them for 19 months. Half of them have stopped working. The batteries (Ni-MH, 500mAh, 1.2V) are the weak link and just wear out. I took the batteries out of the light to charge them on an AC battery charger. They charged up to 100% and lost that charge within several minutes. So the batteries have to be replaced to keep the lights useful. Buy some extras ahead of time.

Nice lights and good customer service

The lights were easy to put together. One light came broken and the seller sent a replacement unit quickly. The lights work well and seem to last through the night, at least until late into the night. Good seller and service.

Finally, really attractive and subtle landscaping lights and in warm white light, too!

First, these are really pretty little lights, even when they are off, and when they are on, they cast a nice, gentle, warm, even, downward light that doesn’t blind you with that classic cold-as-ice white light cast with a bright shadow pattern. Most important, my wife really likes them, so much so that we got four more! These are very well-designed, easy to assemble, and with standard AA NiMH rechargeable batteries that you can access easily. They have an on/off switch that is also easy to access, and their solar panels and light sensors work well, too (at least on the eight we got). Remember to peel the clear protective membrane off the face of each solar panel before placing the lights in the yard. We are using them to light a pathway in our back yard, and the only constraint is that they can’t be in deep shade. They will burn well into the night, but are affected by really cold temperatures, especially if the day has been very cloudy. Still, they really add a lot to the landscape without overkill or looking, when off during the day, like a broken sprinkler head! :-)

Muy bonitas pero no sirvió la carga solar

Ya había comprado antes este producto en presentación de 4, este es de 2 , el terminado para mi esta bien, tiene piezas de plástico pero son duraderas, en esta ocasión a pesar de estar directo al sol no se cargaron y pues no alumbran por lo que solo sirven de adorno en el día , ya que en la noche no prenden. Por flojera no los devolví pero si es algo muy malo que salieran así

You won't know untill you buy it

Really great lights. If not for shipping, really good for the price. Mine stays up lit all night dimming only in the early morning. Never saw it turn off before the sun came out.
