Excellent lighting and durable and bright (if you replace with LED bulbs)

We've had a set of these lights (12) lining our long driveway (100") and they do an excellent job of providing light. We've had these for more than 20 years now. Yes, we had to replace three of them over time, but that is because they were hit by cars by drivers who were backup challenged. Otherwise, they have lasted way longer than many other less expensive landscape lights that we have used, most of which have worn and died within 5-6 years. As one reviewer pointed out, the light bulbs are odd auto bulbs. But we replaced them with LeMeng 5 Watt S8 3156 Wedge Base LED Light Bulb from Amazon and they now give off considerably more light and with less electricity. While we have purchased three replacements from Amazon, there are cheaper options that will save you ~$40 off each unit.

Avoid these due to cheap aluminum posts and caps. Plus a big zero for customer service.

I had my landscape architect include 40 of these lights in his design based on Kichler's reputation for quality and my hatred of plastic fixtures. I was searching for the durability and quality of metal fixtures. However, after a year of these being installed, I wish I had never bought them. They are made of thin cast aluminum which does not rust but that's the ONLY advantage over steel. If they get knocked by a lawn mower or soccer ball even slightly, the aluminum shaft breaks off at the base and frequently the fixture attached to the aluminum cap shears off, requiring replacement of the entire fixture for $100 plus labor. Or, the threads on the aluminum shaft easily become stripped and that also necessitates replacement of the whole thing. Also, the LED bulbs are not securely held in the fixture, so they are often falling out and I end up digging in the snow or mulch to find them and re-insert them. Think twice about using these except in a design where there is no traffic or moving objects anywhere near them. UPDATE: I tried to put in a warranty claim for my other Kitcheler fixtures. We're six years into a fifteen-year warranty. My lighting guy died last year so when Kitcheler required me to come up with the original invoice my guy got when he bought them from whatever supplier he used, of course I couldn't get that receipt so they denied the claim. Nice people there at Kitcheler, really stand behind their (crappy) products. I ended up buying a $6 LED spot on Amazon and climbed the tree myself to replace it. I'm 70. It was lots of fun.

Missing parts

The light is great. It was identical to the original and was an original Kichler product. The issue was that it was a returned product (or at least had been shipped twice). The box was so damaged that the parts needed to put the light together fell out during shipping. I had to return it.

Purchased over 20 of these and 2 have failed

5% failure rate on this product. One was shipped without the lamp assembly; the other shorts out. I have been purchasing Kichler outdoor lighting for over 25 years and have noticed a significant decline in overall quality, reliability and sturdiness of the product. Not what it used to be

Plastic with bronze like finish. Definitely looks like plastic. LED bulbs are $174!!! Not as nice as the price would leave you to believe . sturdy construction but steel post will rust

Sturdy light for our pathway!!!

Bought this to replace an existing light that went bad. It's not exactly like the one we had, but it's very close. Gives off a nice pathway light.
