This was not the correct repair kit for my old sprayer.
This was not the correct repair kit for my old sprayer, however the defective part on my sprayer WAS in the kit so I used it and it worked. It is not an easy repair. Took me awhile and I am an experienced repair person.

Not for the faint hearted
This is a very difficult job to replace the diaphragm. Don't attempt it unless you have excellent mechanical skills. Buy a new sprayer if you can afford it. The kit has everything you need to replace the seals but to take the sprayer apart is extremely difficult. Expect to spend 4 hrs to do this. The instructions don't really show you how to do it and are inadequate. You will have to spend time on the web to research. The Gemplers web site has the best video on how to replace the seals and O rings. They show pounding out the pressure cylinder with a block of wood but I never did get the pressure cylinder out even after following all the web videos and all the descriptions I could find. I pounded and pounded that cylinder but it would not come out. I was afraid I would destroy the tank I pounded so hard. Here is the revelation and is why my review is the one you should read. You do not have to take it out but you will have to have fine tipped screwdrivers to remove the O ring that seals it and have a lot of patience. If you rotate the pressure cylinder back and forth you can replace the O ring. I honestly thought I would I would have to buy a new one but if you spend the time it can be done. I have no leaks, it pumps up and sprays like new. If you have experience repairing things, (I have done watch repair and Camera lens repair) it can be done. You had better to be ready for some frustration but it's not impossible.

Works like new.
Not the easiest thing to put in. Also the Diaphragm was a different color then the original so I initially though I had the wrong kit. It was the right part and the sprayer works like new. I hope this one last 20 years like the original.

Pain in the A** to Rebuild Sprayer, But it is Doable
First suggestion is to read Martyn E. Hebert's review BEFORE buying this kit. Having said that, I was able to remove the cylinder using a wood block as shown in the Gempler's video that Martyn refers to. Easy to find the video on Google. Can't miss it. Be sure to use a marker (white china marker, for ex) to mark the position of the handle on the pump shaft before removing the handle, so you can put it back the same way the FIRST time. DON'T even think of going to the Solo website for help with this project, their how-to manual is in English, which is nice, but comes with miniature photos that cannot be enlarged and a "windows player" how to video that was probably made a decade or more ago and does not open. Is the Solo company trapped in a time warp or something? By the time I was finished, I decided to buy a Field King Maxx sprayer with an easy to rebuild design, so I wouldn't have to go through this again. But when I got the Field King Maxx sprayer I ABSOLUTELY HATED ITS HARNESS, SO I RETURNED IT. By comparison, I love my old pain in the ass Solo Sprayer now, and at least it will be easy to replace the diaphragm next time.
