Solo is reliable
I has a solo sprayer and it lasted 25 years until I broke the nipple where it attaches to the pump and could not get replacement parts. So I figured it cost me $3.50 per year to own it and bought the same sprayer. They last forever. The best backpack sprayer available.

good sprayer but this one refurbished
The sprayer is very good. However the discription said nothing about it being refurbished. While all the seals etc are brand new the tank shows wear. The logo should be solid lettering and there are stain marks on it. This one replaced a sprayer just like it that over the years developed a crack. Contacted Solo cause I had other questions about it. Never heard back even thou they promise to reply within 72 hrs. Now I have to wonder since it is a used tank how long before it develops a crack. The old tank does not show any wear like this and is probably 10 15 years old at least. Solo should mark the product if refurbished.

Easy for an old lady to use.
My tree got too high for me to spray the bag worms. For years I had been climbing a ladder, holding the tank in one hand and the sprayer wand in the other. This product was lite and easy to use, and left me a free hand to hang onto the ladder. I also bought the 5ft extension wand. As a mature adult, this product helps me to work smarter and safer.

NO customer service it what they use to be
Solo has in set up so you can't talk to anyone. they put you in the Q and always number 2 with me and after about ten minutes it rings and sends you back to the switchboard where your only choice is to go back to the Q As you guessed it number 2. tried the other number for sales and got the same runaround. good product until they send you defective one, which is my problem, and then impossible to deal with. I bought 4 of them and the 30 day return with amazon ran out before I took this one out of the box so buyer beware. Finally the lid doesn’t fit very well. Everyone I have ordered the top is warped or slightly oval making it very hard to secure the lid

Disappointed
I had to ask for replacement for the first one I ordered. The first one came without bolts for the handle. I called the manufacturer and they promised they would call back. They did not, so I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. The second one had worn letters which is more of an annoyance, but the real problem is several of the bolts on the pump mechanism were lose, so I had to disassemble it and tighten the bolts. To add insult to injuring, it was shipped via prime USPS so living rural I had to drive 40 miles round trip to the post office to pick it up. After all of this, I hope it works ok.

The cap will not screw onto the container
I made a mistake I guess by not checking this when it arrived, the package was probably returned already since it had been re-taped. I did not open until today, one day after the return period ended. My mistake. The cap will not screw onto the container. I see I can purchase a new cap which I will try, but I am disappointed in the overall quality. A pretty expensive mistake made here. I guess a lesson for me: always open every package and confirm. Don't wait until you need the item!
