Great absorption

It works well when playing, love the absorption but if you're a hard hitter like me it will break after 2-6 months of playing.

Awesome Dampener

This is the best dampener I’ve ever used. All vibration and ping are completely removed. It feels amazing. Those reviews indicating that it can break are accurate. I have broken one when I hit the ball off the dampener. So it’s possible. However, for me, its performance far outweighs the risk of breakage and it is worth the money. If you are frugal when it comes to tennis equipment, I’m not sure if you’d want this one. Perhaps try the Tourna Vibrex Scorpion.

Amazing before it breaks

Product works amazing as a shock absorber. Never fell off or got thrown around, pretty much always stayed exactly where I put it. However, as most of the reviews say, after about a month or two of use I hit a ball right on the shock absorber, breaking one of the clips off and condemning it to the trash. If you’re willing for a slight risk of breakage while using it for a good experience, this works

Absorbs shock

Easy to install and works like a charm. Great if your dampener keeps flying off your strings. This stays in place and dampens vibration as marketed.

My favorite dampener! Too bad not available in smaller quantities. Great value though!

These are my favorite dampeners and I have been using them for years. I find that the dampeners that go across the length of the strings (rather than smaller and centered in the middle) are far more effective. These are the best that I have tried. The color assortment was varied and overall very good (looks just like the picture). It is unfortunate that Amazon does not have these available in smaller quantities as most players probably do not need 48 of them. I really only replace them when they break, which is every 3-6 months or so for me playing almost every day. I share them with friends, but even so this many dampeners will last years. For an individual playing just 1-2 a week, this will last 10+ years, which is probably a bit excessive and I would probably lose them before that time...

So I play tennis - better than many not as good as many - 3.5 rating back when I did USTA league. I LOVE Gamma for their strings, ball hoppers, practice balls....figured why not their shock dampener also? These popular "worm" style dampeners are all the rage now so why not. First off, the price is reasonable, and it works. Well. Until you hit a ball off center (i.e. not in the sweet spot) and more toward the bottom of the racquet face. When you do that, with any sort of modest power, it WILL crack the corner piece off at least one side of the worm and render it useless. If it doesn't, it probably means you didn't install the worm correctly and only have it stretched across like 3 or 4 strings. This thing is a piece of sh*t, looks like I'm going back to my Babolat dampeners, which btw also suck when the little plastic center piece goes flying into the court and you spend an hour trying to locate a clear piece of plastic the size of a cookie crumb. Oh, the blues of being a tennis player! :-P I say try something else. And tell me what I should instead please!

Works well. Period!

Works really well. Provides maximum damping as compared to single line dampeners or the traditional dampeners. Also better than 2 separate dampeners as the in this one the dampeners are connected and hence provide good overall ‘connected dampening’.

Shockbuster is exactly what it is.

Provides great dampening but does not eliminate the feel when you make contact with the tennis ball completely. Great product and a must for tennis elbow sufferers
