FINALLY, a comfortable pillow that holds its shape

I used to literally go through 2-3 pillows a year, trying to find one that would work for my screwed-up neck (I've had whiplash multiple times) and that would hold its initial fullness. I have tried the $100 Isotonic pillow (didn't like the bump that forces you to have your neck perfectly straight, plus it softened out), gusseted pillows that still broke down in the middle, cheaper foam pillows, firm pillows, soft pillows, etc. My neck ALWAYS hurt, and even if one of those pillows helped for a little while, they always broke down and I'd start tossing and turning and getting a stiff neck and shoulders every morning. I bought this Sleep Innovations memory foam pillow a little less than a year ago and I still LOVE it. It's firmer on one side than the other, so if you're a back or stomach sleeper you can use the softer side, and if you're a side sleeper, you can use the firmer side. But it also actually feels thicker on the firmer side, if that makes sense. If I put it on the bed the wrong way, I immediately notice that it's not full enough when I am on my side. Flip it over and it's perfect. I get exceptional support that is soooo comfortable. What I especially like about this pillow is that it's firm enough with hurting my ears! I guess I press my head hard into my pillow, and any other pillow that I've used that is firm enough to hold its shape without compressing too much would actually hurt my ears. I'd have to use a softer pillow and put a folded towel beneath it to make it thicker. I have never had to do that with this pillow, and while it's softened up a bit over the past year, I just need to fluff it before bed and I'm good for the night. I also sleep with better posture and am not contorting my neck or shoulders trying to get comfortable. I do a LOT less tossing and turning with this pillow (I also have a Sleep Innovations memory foam mattress with the gel layer and would highly recommend it!) I only wish they made it in a king size. I take this pillow with me everywhere we travel by car, even for just an overnight stay. And I'm certain it's a big reason I rarely have to go to the chiropractor for my neck anymore, after having to go 2-3x/month for nearly 20 years. (I think I have been 4 times total this year, which is amazing.) I finally convinced my husband, who's had neck surgery, to try it out, and after maybe 5 seconds of lying on it, he immediately said, "Yes, get me one." His pillow had completely flattened out. If I could afford to buy one for every family member at once, I would! Truly the best pillow I have ever used!!

Great Pillow

Great pillow. I had originally purchased this pillow about 6 years ago, and loved it. I went here to repurchase it as a gift and to my surprise it was even better than the original. More foam, and much more high quality. Highly recommend this pillow for those looking for a medium-firm pillow with a softer thinner side.

Pillow of My Dreams

I am a light and restless sleeper. Although I have tried a wide array of pillows including down, down alternative, foam, memory foam, gel, buckwheat, and water, none has been satisfactory in terms of comfort or durability. Until this one. Mixing the comfort of fiberfill with the support of memory foam, it truly features the best of both worlds. It is higher than most but for the first time in a long time, I've enjoyed good, uninterrupted sleep. I change positions frequently throughout the night and this pillow accommodates them. The foam insert can be removed so you can wash the fiberfill and cover. The foam is allergen resistant and mite proof. Manufactured in the USA, it comes with a generous five year warranty. I did air the pillow for a day before use even though I did not notice any odor. If you have become accustomed to flat, soft pillows, it may take a period of adjustment to fully appreciate this one. After years of tossing and turning, I can finally say I have found the pillow of my dreams. Recommended.

Not The Same Pillow It Once Was!!!

I've had several of these pillows in king size over the years and had loved everything about them, so I ordered four new king size ones for $42.80 each but did not unpackage them nor try them out until the window of return had passed. Upon finally opening them I immediately realized that they were much thinner than ever before and no longer offered the same comfort and support... no where even close! I was devastated as I need a pillow that offers great support for especially my neck issues. I went so far as to contact Sleep Innovations via an email I sent to them through Amazon customer service. When I heard back from them that email came from the company name "Innocor"... not Sleep Innovations, which is what the tag on each new pillow now says rather than the tags on all of my older pillows which said Sleep Innovations. Upon receiving that email I immediately knew what the problem was and why the quality control was gone in the newer version of this pillow. Not only did their email say that they are the new owners of all Sleep Innovations products, but of all Serta products as well. My previous older Sleep Innovations pillows had an awesome 2" memory foam layer throughout, but these new ones have only a single layer that measures only a 1/2 inch in height, thus making their pillows ridiculously flimsy and flat. So, there's the major and primary problem and precisely why this previously awesome pillow is now ruined and most definitely no longer perfect like it once was!!! I was told by Innocor that the old style of this pillow was still around but only in queen size and only via special order from Kohls and under the name of Serta. I Googled that only to discover that this was true but at the price of $170 per pillow. No matter the price, I insist on king sizes only and especially at that higher and ridiculous price! Regardless, I am now fed up and stuck with four pathetic pillows. However, since I have four of these loser pillows, I got the wise idea to take the 1/2 inch memory foam inserts completely out of the zippered areas of two of the other pillows and add them in that area to the one I'm attempting to use, making the total of the memory foam approximately 1.5" high instead... anything at all to try to get at least some of my money out of this insanely bad purchase. Doing this has helped a little. Perhaps I need to cram all four 1/2 thick memory foam inserts into one pillow, thus attempting to achieve some semblance of the way my old ones are. But that will never be anywhere nearly as good simply because not even the fiberfill side is nowhere as nice as the old Sleep Innovations pillows offered. I have my old 2" memory foam inserts still from my old pillows. Perhaps inserting them into these four new pillows just might do the trick. I will soon opt into at least giving that a try.... again anything at all to make my four-pillow purchase not completely all in vain. Lastly, I will say this additionally... it is unbelievably sad that Sleep Innovations is not nor will it ever be the company that it once was because the new owner, Innocor, most definitely does not stand behind their merchandise. My emails to them immediately became a total waste of my time since they promptly showed me that they could not have cared less. Frankly, it is sad that Amazon continues to sponsor them as one of their 3rd party sellers. Doing so makes Amazon look just as bad to consumers as Innocor themselves.
