fits good even for big guys
Bought the XL for wrist tendonitis from golf. In a week of using it has helped tremendously. Fits comfortably and I am 300+ lbs.

Durability
This is my second 824 brace I wore out the first one. They lasted 1 yr. I use it for golf as my wrist is weak due to a nerve issue.

Strap lengths could be longer
I wear these over my dirt bike gloves. The palm fit is fine, but the straps are a bit short when wearing them this way. I had to add some velcro extensions to the middle strap to insure they stayed put. My wife sewed them on. They were about an inch longer. Otherwise, these work well. I had a previous set marketed by Troy Lee Designs, but they no longer sell those. Those straps were a bit longer than the ones on this new pair. I bought the LARGE size.

Excellent wrist support while not being too restrictive
My wrist was hurting, I think from pre-carpal tunnel or something like that. I still wanted to be able to work out and do other things, but my wrist was really sore when I'd move it in certain directions. I had been wrapping my wrist and using other wrist supports, but decided to try this. It has two pieces of steel in the back which offers a lot more support, and the fit for the size I got is perfect. It offers my wrist a lot of support, but at the same time gives me enough mobility to still workout. I've been sleeping with it to keep my wrist from bending, and finally the pain in my wrist is going away! I hope it will be gone in a few days, but wearing this has definitely helped. It's a perfect balance of support and flexibility, highly recommend this.

Security tag still on, broke in 2mins.
I received this shock doctor wrist brace from the seller "best4sale." It arrived with a security tag still attached, which took about 15 mins with a garden shears to remove. Once I put it on, I noticed that the plastic sheathing at the base was torn up, & it fell out about a minute later. Without that, there's nothing to keep the support struts in place (see pics). The wrist guard was actually pretty comfortable & seemed really supported of my wrist. It's too bad that it arrived in such terrible condition, because I think I would've liked it. If the seller is best4sale, then DO NOT BUY. I'm guessing from a better seller the product would work great though.

Runs small get next size up
I used the size measurement according to the directions it was 7.25 inches but the thumb hole was to tight so I sent it back for a refund and ordered the XL. UPDATE Received the XL brace yesterday and the fit is perfect. The brace provides great support and compression for the wrist. I just had excise wrist tendon sheath surgery and was told I’ll need s brace to play golf & riding a bike. The brace has several levels of support depending on the amount of stabilization you need. It will also allow me to put it over my golf and bike gloves.

Good support for us wrist challenged folks
My doctor is allowing me to lift weights after breaking my wrist 3 months ago and getting a lot of metal added to it, but he told be I had to use some support. I researched the wrist supports and settled on the Shock Doctor and 2 weeks into my workouts has shown this to be a good support. I'm using all of the sticks right now, but I like the option of reducing support by removing sticks as my wrist gets stronger. I wear a thin lifting glove under it for additional padding, but it would be fine without the glove. It's relatively small and easy to put on, so I'd recommend this for anyone who needs some extra wrist support.

Shock Doctor 824 Wrist Guards
I got these to use while riding dirt bikes. They work well. Fit well and allow good mobility and support. If I were to buy again I would probably size down and they stretch a fair bit. I have taken multiple spills and they have made a significant difference. They radically reduce the strain that would have otherwise caused damage to my wrists. I wear them under my gloves, not the most comfortable things when you start out wearing them, but you get used them quickly and no wrist injuries makes it all worth the mild discomfort ! Definitely recommend.

It is very effective in keeping my wrist from over-exerting. Wore the guard while at work and it did a great job. I bough this item to wear during hockey. It does a reasonable job, though my current wrist injury requires more immobilization in a different plane of movement than what this wrist guard and provide. I've worn it with another elastic brace and it does its job.

Great for recovering from wrist sprain
Great wrist support, helped me recover from a sprained wrist. I was able to continue to work out and lift weights (bench press, shoulder press) with this support on. I used this brace for roughly 2 months and it held up well. The 3 strap support is very secure and snug, my physio was impressed.
