Working great on my kitchen table

I have been using these glides for about a year now and they have done a great job protecting my vinyl flooring when the heavy kitchen table is slid around. They are very firmly attached and I expect more than 20 years of use before they wear out.

slide easily and won't come off

We recently replaced an ottoman that didn't glide smoothly on the carpet in our family room. Being easy to move was a feature of the old ottoman so I looked for a solution. These glides are the same size as the feet on the ottoman and unlike many other options they included screws. Installing the screws means they will stay in place and not be subject to adhesive failure, The inclusion of the screws was the deciding factor in choosing these glides.

Great product. Easy install. Make moving of heavy chairs very easy. Grandma is happy she can use the fancy chairs and able to move them.

Just What We Needed

My 93-year-old father tried a few ways to make my parents' dining room chairs slide more easily on their carpet. Let's see, the stick-on sliders unstuck within a day or two, the "chair coasters" wouldn't stay under the legs when you moved the chairs, and the 16-oz plastic drink bottles with the necks cut off...well...no, just no. (I have no idea where he even got that idea!) We were looking for something thin, but with enough surface area to make sliding the chairs easier, and that could screw into the wooden legs of the dining chairs. These ticked all the boxes. I don't even remember what we paid for them. In fact, it doesn't matter what we paid because my parents are just happy that they work and don't come off. Sometimes it's the little things that make life better.

High hopes

I bought these to replace some bolted glides that were too small and rounded to allow heavy chairs be pushed around on a low carpet, much less slide with someone sitting in the chairs. Because steel threads had been installed for the previous glides, I was unable to use the wood screws. The adhesive worked great--for a while. There's a bit of flow to the adhesive, so with those heavy chairs being pushed around on carpet, eventually many of them slid out of position and eventually came off. If they could have been secured with the wood screws in addition to the adhesive, I'm confident that they would have performed as I had wished. No, those heavy chairs weren't easy to move with these in place, but compared to without or with the previous glides, these provided a welcome improvement.

So far so good

Purchased these to put on the underside of a marble slab we have for cats to lie on to stay cool when the adoption room gets hot in summer. Without any sort of slider, the slab is extremely heavy to move. But it slides nicely on a hard-surface floor with eight of these in place, two close to each corner. Deducted one star only because the backing to the sticky surface is overly fiddly to remove, even with sharp finger nails. (Tip: I found that pinching the surface worked better and did less damage to the sticky layer than trying to peel the backing off by lifting at the edge.) Hopefully the adhesive will stand the test of time.

DOES NOT SLIDE ON BERBER CARPET

I screwed them into the legs on my ottoman, flipped it over and gave it a push = IT DID NOT MOVE ... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just re-ordered MAGIC SLIDERS, the 4" round sliding discs from Amazon, because I use them under my china cabinet and it does SLIDE LIKE MAGIC !

Good value gliders

Got these as I wanted something that would offer a lower profile than casters. Fitted to legs of a footstool, easy to fit and they work, very low friction on a thick pile carpet.

Ideal for moving furniture, easy to fix

We bought these to fit on our 3 piece suite to make it easier to move on the carpet. They were easy to fix with self adhesive pads, but they also supply screws too. Now the sofas are easier to move when vacuuming.
