Great buy!

Love the scissors. They work great. I went from being terrified to cutting my newborns nails and keeping him in gloves for the first 10 weeks to being able to cut them even when he's awake. My friend had to show me how to use them. I haven't used the clippers, but she did, and they seem sharp enough. I read a tip to use them upside down, if that helps any new moms One star off for the emery boards. They seem flimsy

Use the correct tool for the age

This set works really well, but you have to use the correct tool for the age of the child. If a newborn use the emery board, no chance of damage and can get rid of the sharp edges and points. The scissors are good for slightly older children (about 2+ months) because they have long enough nails to trim with the curved scissors, but can take more than just an emery board. However, the emery board is still useful for finishing. Haven't used the clippers yet. I think they would be terrible on a newborn. But better to use for say a 6+ month old (our baby is currently slightly less than 3 months old.).

Love the scissors

The regular baby nail clippers scare me, boards don't work, and I am not putting a baby finger in my mouth and chewing off a nail (yes, this was the advice I got over and over again from friends, but I'm not into nail biting for myself, and surely not into do it for someone who puts their hands into their diaper every chance they get...ick!). These nail scissors are nice and curved so they run along the shape of the nail easily, preventing accidental skin clipping.

don't need the emery boards

Very good little set. My boy is 2 mo old and I use the scissors the most and have just started using the clippers. I tried the emery boards and they didn't do much. PLus they are SO small that if you manage to file down all 10 fingers and 10 toes, you've pretty much used the board up. Still for the money, it's a better buy for the set than getting them separate.

Great baby nail scissor!

The baby nail scissors in this set are easy to use and are nicely curved so that that get under the nail and don't catch on baby's skin. I'm a first time mother and I was scared to clip baby's nails because I thought I might clip his little finger. The nail files are ok. I tried those first before the scissor and they didn't do much. I haven't tried the clipper yet.

I actually like the little nail files best...

I decided to use the nail scissors and clippers on myself, but the files I will use for my daughter... The scissors have a thicker blade and are slightly curved. I think the thickness is what doesn't work for me most. They are also really long when you think of a child's small hands and even smaller nails. This just doesn't work for a little one, at least not for me. I prefer the pigeon brand, which costs more, but you get what you pay for. Good deal for a manicure set (for myself) for the price. Overall, I will not use the actual nail cutters in this set on my daughter.

Works as advertised. I had a hard time finding baby nail files online and this was one of the major reasons I bought this set. I do not however see any major differences between the nail files included and other nail files other than size. My baby loves his manicures so no complaints from me.

Excellent and great tools

Excellent, the scissors were great for newborns and the nail cutter when the baby is 3 months plus. I could see how the nail cutter may be hard to handle by large hands (i.e. a large built father). The emory boards good throughout. But a magnifying glass would be really useful for those teeny tiny fingernails!

Fantastic product - a must for moms!

I originally purchased the Zoli Buzz B nail trimmer for my baby, however, that proved to be an epic fail as I didn't have 5 minutes per nail to burn to trim by newborn's nails. I then decided to purchase something a little more traditional and came across this set from Amazon. Could not be happier with the purchase. Included is everything you will need to care for your baby's nails including clippers, nail scissors and filers. The scissors are awesome with a close clipping achieved every time. The clippers are great too but I definitely prefer cutting with the scissors. Of course, accidents are possible with any scissor/clipper combination but I haven't had a problem thus far with these and I highly recommend them.

Good concept, unfortunately could not use it

I bought this set for my newborn thinking I will have all the tools for trimming his nails. Babies' nails are stuck to the skin underneath so the nail clipper clipped the skin too (ouch :( ). Tried to use the scissors but they are very thick and baby nails are very soft and short so unfortunately could not use them either. I ended up using my own nail scissors (dissinfected of course) to trim my baby's nails. I do it while he is sleeping so I avoid any possible accident. Have not tried the files at all.
