Works well
I used it to debur the inside of copper plumbing pipe cut with a standard manual pipe cutter. It provided a smoother edge with less time and effort than the one on the pipe cutter. This deburring process provides smoother fluid or air flow.

Just became my most valued tool!
What can I say…. Why didn’t I know about this tool sooner? I make guitar effects pedals and I’ve been de-burring drilled holes in my aluminum enclosures with an exacto knife (I know…. It’s absurd). This tool just made my job 100% easier, safer and more efficient. I was able to de-burr 30 aluminum enclosures (outside and inside) in about an hour. That’s just crazy! It didn’t chip any of the paint or graphics. I’m blown away and how good this tool is! Thank you!!!

Excellent Purchase
The General Tools 482 appears (according to my internet sleuthing) to be a re-branded Noga Rapid Burr RB1000. The General 482 appears structurally identical to the Noga, takes the same 3.2mm swivel base blades, and is marked "ISRAEL" The only difference is the gray paint and the "GENERAL" logo on the side. This is a good thing! I've never touched a single bad thing Noga makes, and it speaks well of General that they would call Noga up to brand/diatribute this tool. It's beautifully made, has a nice heft to it, works very well, and is extremely well priced (I paid $8, but you know how Amazon prices fluctuate). The same tool with the Noga branding tends to sell for nearly double (Noga tends to sell through nicer machinists supply outlets with high markups, while General is more like it's namesake and has slimmer margins, which explains the price disparity). Only thing I will knock, and it isn't even really worth takin of a star, is the painted body. The product photo makes it look like a raw steel or aluminum body, but both the General and Noga tools are painted (the General version is gray, with a black logo). I would like this tool *slightly* better if the body was clear anodized aluminum or even a nice stainless steel.

Works as expected
If you're looking at this item you probably already know what it does, so I'll jump to my experience. The item was sent in a box with other items I purchased. The packaging on this is crap: cardboard backing with flimsy plastic mold slip on front. It's easy for the top plastic to dislodge and become loose, which is what happened. The tools comes with two swivel bits (one installed for plastic and general use, a second in packaging for brass and cast iron). The second bit fell out of packaging and, thus, out of the box. I raised hell with Amazon and they promised to note that only bubble wrap mailers be used with this item. MY ADVICE: purchase this item separate from other orders to avoid this. My only gripe with actual tool is that the secondary bit could have fit in/on the handle someway. Kind of a pain to store is somewhere and remember it.

A tool with a specific use that it does well.
Fettling is a challenge but this tool helps greatly. I've owned several but only because I lose them. Thankfully, they are not expensive. The handle and cutting tool are sturdy.

Fantastic for deburring anything but OD round stock
I use this as my primary deburring tool for everything but the OD on round stock and tubing. It's even faster than using a countersink or similar tool manually for the ID. It also does very well on flat edges, though it takes some conscious effort to apply even pressure when you get to the corners on rectangle stock. The natural urge is to let off as you get to the edge because the tool is going to fall off. I've been using this tool for years, mostly on aluminum and carbon steel, and have yet to feel the need to replace the head. It cuts every bit as well today as it did the day I bought it. At $12, this is an absolute steal.

Well made, good working tool
A quality tool that does the job. It works much better than those fold-out wedge deburrers that are built in to pipe cutting tools, and it's a lot handier and faster than using a file or even a power tool to deburr pipe. You just stick it in the pipe, give it a couple of spins, and done. It comes with two blades -- a 482A for deburring steel, copper, aluminum, and plastic, and a 482B for deburring brass and cast iron. So which blade is which? I was a little confused by that, since numbers aren't embossed on the blades, and there was no description on the package. I did a little Internet research -- actually, I just looked at a few pictures -- and found that the blade that comes mounted in the tool is the 482A. It's black and has sort of a ball tip. That's the one for copper, steel, aluminum, and plastic. The extra one is the 482B. It's silver and triangular along its whole working length. That's the one for brass and cast iron. I expect this well-built tool will last years.

It Does What It Says. Get One!
I bought this to remove flash from metal and plastic components. Silly me didn't realize how much practice it would take to get used to the swivel head. It works great but doesn't get into the nooks and crannies of the pieces I work with. Rather than switch between it and a hobby knife I opted to rely on a hobby knife. I'll keep this tool around for that special piece that needs the right tool for the job but for now it remains in my tool box. Good product though and will not dull. I used on a LOT of metal components and it is still very sharp... unlike the hobby knives which I have to buy in bulk.

Sharp and good quality
Purchased to de-burr plastic waste and soil pipes. Very sharp, comes with a spare tip that I'm sure i'll lose, but very handy and well priced.

Hey - this is 1 blade, not 10 !! (same price as the General tool handle + 2 blades)
Wow, what a surprise when I received a tiny ziplok with 1 blade, althouth the description said 15,00$ & 1,50$ per unit. So a single blade costs the same as a metal handle + 2 of that same blade !! At 15$ I chose not to bother returning it, bbut beware of this false information in the description.
