attractive, solid jar construction but cheap-ish lids

The jars are very nice looking and the glass thickness is decent, but the lids are a bit flimsy. I haven't had a lid 'fail' yet, but I am concerned that it may just be a matter of time. I sorta think that repeated opening and closing of the lids will wear out the threads which are plastic (the lid itself is metal). The concern is slightly compounded by the thought that Anchor Hocking will ditch this line at some point and no longer make lids that can be ordered as replacements.

lids made in china

The glass jars are so perfect. Nice thick glass. Im not sure why Anchor Hocking would go cheap and pair it with cheap lids made in China. It definitley loses stars because of it. I should have read the description better. I just saw made in USA.So dissapointed to see a made in China sticker on the lids.

Great storage solution

I chose this item because the jars (although not the lids) are made in the USA. The set works well for pantry storage. I'm using it for flour, sugar, and coffee.

Love Anchor glassware! These canisters are very sturdy glass and they look pretty too! It's a great bonus that they're made in the US

Damaged and filthy

Do not buy these. They arrived with two of the three lids damaged and the entire trio filthy. After I washed them my husband tried to repair the lids, but the thin metal/plastic combination would not straighten back into perfect alignment. I went ahead and filled them with flour, sugar and rice. The middle size container will not completely seal and the sugar has hardened from the moisture in just a few days time. These aren't worth the money I do not recommend them.
