Perfect as expected!

Anchor Hocking is dependable glassware that has bypassed Pyrex their glass is strong and well worth the price. When Pyrex changed the mix for their glass it became unstable and unusable as it will explode unexpectedly. When that happened to me I switched to Anchor products and have loved them with high usage! They always clean up well too!

9x13 with lid handles allow to fit into my origianl hot\cold bag

Finally, I got a chance to use my new pans. It was horrid trying to find a covered glass 9x13 that didn't have huge\long extended handles. My only complaint is that the glass is scratched up a bit and it looks like someone tore the inside edging of the top cover. I made a four layer lasagna and it fit nicely but you will not be able to overfill these. The cover sits somewhat inside of the glass pan and then the handles are covered by the flappy green handle part too. If that makes sense. I bought two of these. A lil less than perfect but works and I love the lime green! The pans do not really fit inside each other so don't plan on stacking them to store unless you have space to double them up! I have not travelled with them yet for party takers but they don't look to be 100% leak proof...fyi!

Nobody can use just one!

This is my second one of these dishes. I bought one quite a while ago from a local retailer because I just saw it and thought it was a good idea. I had been using disposable aluminum pans with flimsy snap on lids, so when I first saw this in the store I just bought it on a whim. I loved it so much that it has become my go-to dish for storing left-overs, baking cakes and biscuits, etc. Also ideal for taking things to pot-luck dinners at church. I soon found out that I really needed another one, but couldn't find it again in the store. So I ordered another. It is identical to the one I had (except for the lid color). So I'll see if I can get by with only two of them now. If not, I'll be ordering another

Nice dish, cover pretty much NG

the dish itself is good - nice and deep. but the lid: - doesn't seal securely to the base. just kind of rests on there. - the lid is slightly concave. so if you have a frosted cake in there, it mushes the frosting which then sticks to the lid and makes a big mess and you want to cry when you open it at the pot luck :( so if you make something that doesn't come to the top (like brownies or something) this would be fine enough for sticking a lid on to get from A to B. but it doesn't really work IMO as a sealed cover to keep whatever's inside fresh. the Wilton metal pans (they have a 9x9 and 13x9) with the domed plastic lids lock on securely and are way better for storage. bummer though because the Wilton doesn't have an 8x8 with the lid and anyways i prefer a glass baking dish.

Casserole Dishes That Add Room To A Tiny Refrigerator!

I love using my Anchor hocking casserole dish so much that I purchased 2 of them. The green top is attractive and it allows me to easily stack them in the refrigerator. When I'm using only one of them, it is easy to put other refrigerated items on top of it because of the top. This helps preserve room in an otherwise small space. I wash the tops by hand because I'm concerned about warping in the dishwasher. I would have given the Anchor Hocking dishes 5 stars if they were a wee bit larger and if they could be used under a broiler. Other than that, I highly recommend them!

Lid does not seal that well but nice quality dish

The dish is high quality glass. The reason for my purchase was that I was looking for an 8 cup square or rectangular container to store fruit that was cut into large sections such as pineapple that had been cleaned and quartered. I wanted a lid that would seal tightly after the air was removed from the container. This lid did neither of these things. The lid does not seal tightly or 'burp' out the air. I would not use to transport liquid product such as stews, soups or sauces. OK for cakes or more solid foods. Basically the lid can be considered as slightly better than plastic wrap or tin foil. You cannot really stack something on the lid as it is to flexible. BTW - the packaging states that it holds 8 cups or 2 quarts. True Fit is not the same as True Seal.

Nice pan for a 9x13” frosted cake recipe

Perfect for my favorite recipe that calls for a 9x13” dish (King Arthur Flour Company’s Old Fashioned Apple Cake with Brown Sugar Frosting). The cake fits perfectly, and the lid fits without touching the frosting. The handles are convenient without sticking out so far as to make the dish too large/inconvenient for storage. The lid fits nicely, but I might not trust it to contain a very liquidy recipe, as it doesn’t fit as tightly as some.

Does the job!

I purchased this after my previous glassware tray shattered after putting it in the sink too fast. This has worked well for me and held up well and haven’t had any issues with it. I recommend lining your own though so cleanup is easier as mine has already acquired some stains that just won’t let up. The lid is not only convenient for traveling but makes it easier to marinate something in the same dish you cook with.

Great for roasting large pieces of meat. The lid makes it great for travel. 13.5 X 10 X 2 inches. I don't need the lid often, but handy to have.

Need a new design for the lid or dish

Again, this brand name makes a beautiful dish, however, the lid is square and the dish is rounded on the edges, so that the lid easily falls off. Tape the lid down is the only answer or return it. It is way overpriced for a faulty item. I'm sticking with Pyrex, I find they are more for homeware and I've never had a problem with Pyrex. This one Anchor Hocking really need to do something about their lids falling off. Make the lids rounded on the corners or make the dish square and not rounded on the corners. It doesn't fit. Quality control should definitely be checking the design of the dish.
