Review of Serenelife SLGL24BL- blue trim. Only incentive to complete review was 1 yr warranty protection and free measuring spoon set (restrictions apply so unsure if I will receive that). I was going to do a review any way, so that didn't matter to me. Very happy with product for price point, $49.99 U.S currency. I received the package when promised, it was in a Serenelife box packed inside an Amazon box. Serenelife did a very good job packing the product. Pieces were packed in form fitting cardboard. Each container had a piece of something similar to cling wrap on top of plastic lids, then a thin piece of plastic film if nested with another container; also, on nested ones there was a slim piece of foam to avoid glass on glass contact. Even with there excellent packing a few lids had some light scratches, which is very common on plastic lids and most likely rough handling during shipping. If you are looking for very large containers, you won't be happy with this set. I included pictures of the 2 largest containers, one round, one rectangular and used a $1 bill to help reference size. This set is perfect for me as I only need for small left overs, fruit, and, vegetables. Also with lids on, not all will nest, this was not an issue for me as I wanted to keep lids with the correct container and have sufficient storage. The quality is good for price point. The outside bottoms do have some ripples in them, you can feel them with fingertips but there are no sharp edges. I included two pictures of this but could only catch small portions in glare. I used a microfiber cloth to check for snags. I only found one tiny spot on one of the containers, it appears something got stuck on glass during finishing process, it feels about the size of decent sized grain of sand, no bother for me, I have had such imperfections on more costly brands and it was only one out if all glass containers. Some of the top lips on the glass containers have ridges in them, not sharp, sort of like seam while some of the others don't. Found no sharp edges there either. I was concerned about the ridge due to airtight guarantee so I filled the one with the worst ridge 3/4 full with water. I shook it up and down with top up, then rotated and shook end to end, then upside down, and then just held upside down for a minute, I could feel no moisture around seam. In examining it more closely, the rubber gasket rests on top of the lip, not the side. Did not check every container with liquid because all of the top rims had already been checked by running fingertips around each as I unpacked, then again with microfiber cloth. I was looking for lids with steam vents but couldn't find any with decent reviews at this price point. These do not have snapping steam vents and directions say lid cannot be locked if using microwave. Would definitely buy these again, and if I find they offer larger sizes, would buy them as well if they are similar in quality and have fair price point. I did include the care instructions, please read carefully. I intend to hand wash lids as even top rack may damage plastic depending on drying system. Might even hand wash glass containers to avoid dulling and scratches unless I can find a dishwasher detergent that isn't abrasive. Even with some cautions listed in care directions I would still buy again. Sorry for long winded review, but I know when reading reviews for products, too many don't give the product name/number and just say "great, would buy again", and that is not always helpful.
