Bad webportal/app
The app and webportal are really slow and prone to bugs. For the price it's acceptable, but really annoying. It at least functions so it's not total garbage, but don't expect to be able to access it like normal cloud/email/browser/etc. Looking back I wish I had spent a little more for a better camera

Useless if it won't record onto suggested SD card or its own cloud storage!
As a non-techie person in a dangerous situation needing cameras ASAP, I've run the gamut with several products on Amazon trying to find something that actually works without returning it and getting refunded. I was all set to give this product FIVE stars and buy several more of them, because it's extremely easy to set up, it can work on a tablet (instead of just a phone), you can add more units to the same system as you can afford them, the manual is completely in native English (so it's easy to understand), it's the first camera that I was actually able to get up and running by myself without hassle (other than needing to purchase an ethernet cord for it, because my wifi sucks), and it had no disturbing Chinese terms of service that you had to agree to like "I won't speak against the Chinese government, its religion, homosexuality, etc." (YES, PLEASE read your terms of service for these cameras. I've returned cameras merely because I refused to agree to the ridiculous terms of service!). The problem? It won't freaking record anything, so it's useless for immediate safety and eventual criminal-charge-pressing purposes. I purchased TWO of the micro SD cards that Amazon recommended to go with this camera- and the cards are 64s not 32s. Maybe somewhere in this item's description, it would have told me to not get cards higher than 32s, but when you're reading twenty of these camera descriptions at a time, it all gets confusing really quickly, and you'd like to think that Amazon's own suggestion for what card to use should be accurate. It's NOT. DO NOT BUY 64s. This camera won't take any more than 32s. Onto its cloud storage then, because I needed something recorded pronto. I was pleased that the service took Paypal and that it was only $6.99 for 30 days of storage (before it would then, I guess, start recording over itself in the cloud for the next 30 days if you continued to pay for another month, etc.). I could have even have gotten a price break if I'd gone with the same 30 day storage but paying a year at a time instead of just one month like I did to try it out. I'm glad I went with just one month, though, because the app was quick to take my money but then just as quick to refuse me access to the cloud storage that I'd just purchased. The only contact information for the company was an email (NOT OKAY, there should always be a telephone number!), and that email address was rather creepy: cloudsupport@mininginfotech.com. MININGINFOtech.com? Are you serious? Anyway, I emailed them and if I get some satisfaction, I will happily update my review to higher stars. For now, because I purchased the camera AND the could storage, and I'm still physically and legally defenseless against someone actively trying to hurt me, this camera will stay at one star and below. I think that companies that make these kinds of safety products should adhere to a slightly higher standard of service that this one currently does not.

Returning because of connectivity issues and annoyances
Unfortunately, I have to return this item. I want to make this concise but comprehensive. Pros: - The camera is inexpensive but not shoddily made. - The app isn't the worst I've seen and there are a lot of options to change. - The camera pans and tilts remotely, via dragging your finger on the app. It also zooms in. This is cool and useful. - For an inexpensive camera, the actual camera hardware (i.e. quality of the video) is pretty good. - Aesthetically, it is inoffensive and subtle, and fits in with today's tech (even if it's more cheaply made). Cons: - The viewing angle of the shot is restrictive and close up. You have to place the item far back to get a wide angle unlike with some other cameras with better hardware. Still, for this price point, I have no complaints about the hardware of the actual camera. - Connecting the thing. This is where I just couldn't take it anymore. I was able to connect via the app when I connected the camera to ethernet. I could not get it to connect to my wireless network. It has pretty strict demands for connecting to wifi (e.g., no 5ghz network, which is common I guess) but even with those demands met, I should have been able to connect. When attempting to connect, the app asks you to turn the volume up on your phone and bring it close to the camera's microphone. It states that wifi needs sound to connect. Your phone then proceeds to emit a truly horrendous repeating beeping/connecting/static sound pattern for two full minutes. I'm just sitting there with the camera right next to my router (as it says, "Close your camera to the router") and this terrible noise blasting from my phone, my dog going crazy and my patience running thin. Over and over. And I can't connect to wifi. What kind of an app makes you go through a process like that? I've never seen anything like that before. Conspicuously, none of the reviews here mention that. I wonder if that's because, as another reviewer noted, they claim to offer you a free microSD card for your review. Let's find out if they give me one for my honest review of this item. Ultimately, despite the camera's fairly impressive hardware (for the price), inoffensive aesthetic, and successfully functioning features such as pan/tilt remotely, motion detection, and night vision, the wifi connectivity problems and wrist-slitting process was the deal breaker for me. I wanted to like this guy, but I have to return it.

Instructions not real clear for first time user, it is not plug and play, its quite a job getting it all aet up
I have had to spend way to much time learning how to navigate the unit, it's functions etc. hours and hours, just because the user manual does not address how to use the functions. I am wireless using a wireless hot spot because they don't Dish Cable doesn't have internet out where I live. I still have not figured out how to set the sensitivity for when it hears something it takes a picture. One morning I woke up with over two hundred pictures on it and the house was quiet all night, and then you have to delete them one at a time I guess. The pan function of the camera hangs up quite often also. I purchased a 32gb sd and that's where I will store my data. Picture is good on 720, the night camera is not that good, I leave a light on in the living room on low and that helps. Don't like the red motion detector light flashing every 3 seconds or so, makes it to easy for someone getting into your house to spot it, should be a way to turn that off. Still trying to figure things out after playing with it 2 weeks. Installation was about an hour until it was working, not bad. I guess it serves its purpose, wife said she cant hear me talking to her when I am on line and away from home, so the intercom is not that hot. Maybe its just my unit. Overall it works, and the price cant be beat.

So glad I have these!
I bought 2 of these so that I could have one to watch my apartment while I was housesitting in another city and also I bought one to monitor my Mom after surgery once I went home. It has been so helpful, especially with my Mom. I check on her here and there throughout the day and she can talk to me without having to touch or mess with anything. I can also talk to her via the camera although normally I find it easiest if I text her and have her just speak out loud (she doesn't even have to be near the camera and I hear her fine.) Been a great help, great product!

Good little camera
Great camera and good value. Using this to keep an eye on my chickens. Only downfall is that I cannot get notifications unless I’m actually watching from within the app.. unless I can’t figure that out but I’m pretty techie and that feature does not seem to work. Control works great - can move it all around and look around.

Indoor security camera
I was doubtful that this camera would be any good since it was inexpensive. However I am amazed at how well it works. We have it in our garage and the picture quality especially at night is excellent. Great deal.

Took longer than it said but it's came
Just received it, decided to keep it.. and it seems to work ok. And they offered me a 16 GB SD memory card for it free so we'll see if I get it.
