Better than all the diaper genies I've used
I'm so glad I got this thing. I was a bit suspicious of how low the price was on this, but I went ahead and this has been great to have. I've been dealing with dirty diapers for 3 years. I've burned through 3 official "diaper genie" brand diaper genies in that time. The regular diaper genie is great for keeping the smell out when throwing away another diaper, but they've got too many moving parts that depend on small plastic pegs and posts, and eventually they jam too hard, wear out, get loose, and break. They're awkward to empty, change, and refill, and again, they jam CONSTANTLY. This thing is a little smaller, sure, but it is so much SIMPLER. It's just an outer lid with a trapdoor beneath, and a simple little cabinet door for emptying the bag. It has huge advantages over regular diaper genie models. -simpler design w less moving parts -more reliable operation -easier to empty -doesn't jam (meaning less need to shove your hand in to clear it) -wider bag gives more storage than you'd expect The only disadvantage this has is that, when sticking in a new diaper, you will have the container open for a split second and may catch a tiny whiff of the bag. That's gone in a second, and when it's closed it doesn't let any smells out. This thing has really simplified my life and I wish I'd gotten one of these first.

Works for puppy pads too!
I was at my wits end with my rescue pup not wanting to pee outside, but she did come to us paper trained. I leave a couple of doggy pads down, and pop them in here when dirty. I dunno, it works for me.

Most convenient
As a new mom, I had only heard of the Diaper Genie. After about 6 months of use, the wear was really starting to wear on the unit, so I looked into this diaper pale. The positive reviews were spot on. And, I can say the built in cutting feature for the fresh bags, makes changing the bags so easy. The odor is contained, and its small and desecrate in our bathroom. Every time we change the bag, we are blown away at how many it can hold.

Still using after more than 2 years!
We've been using the diaper pail for a little more than 2 years, and I really don't have any complaints. It came with a sample of the diaper pail liners and I really liked that it was one continuous liner. You use the little cutter inside the pail to cut the bag when it's full, then tie a knot at the remaining end to create a new bag. Super easy. I did buy 1 box of refill liners, but after that I switched to using 13 gallon kitchen trash bags because it was cheaper. I tried the medium (8 gallon) bags and they were too small. Before purchasing I remember a review that talked about the opening being too small for larger diapers. My 2yo is in size 4 during the day and size 5 at night. I've not had any trouble getting larger diapers to fit. In this picture is a very wet size 4 diaper sitting next to the hole you drop it into. It almost looks too big to fit, but it's not. Size 5 diapers fit just fine too, and they are usually very wet from an 11 hour night. I've never used another diaper pail, so I don't know how well others contain the smell. From time to time, this one does stink, but I will change the bag & put the entire pail on the porch for a few hours to air out. It works like a charm.

Great for toddler pull up's
We use this for our toddler who is potty trained but still uses pull ups at night. Easy for him to use, helps with the smell and small enough to fit into the closet so out of sight.

Estético y no deja escapar olores!
El bote es de buen tamaño pensando que solo va almacenar pañales. Yo lo utilizo para pañales de tela y no deja salir ningún olor. Las bolsas son fáciles de instalar, yo le puse de tela y le queda a la perfección no sabía que la misma marca del bote vende bolsas reutilizables y compré dé La marca Ecopipo y le quedó a la medida. El bote viene con una bolsa de plástico para usar de inmediato por sino tienes repuestos utilices el que trae mientras. Deben ser como el equivalente a 5 bolsas. Es un rollo de plástico que vas cortando y haciendo nudo la punta para ajustarlo a la medida. Estoy muy satisfecho con mi compra.

Highly recommended
The media could not be loaded. We bought this to replace the one we already had(from another brand). The Dekor Classic Hands-Free diaper pail is a few steps ahead! It is good looking, It is a great quality product It is super easy to use You can easily lock it so it becomes fully secured (AKA little-explorer proof). We highly recommend it!

Not ideal for cloth diapering
Other reviews said this was a good pail for cloth diapering.. yes they fit but you do have to squish them in. The opening has an extra flap (after you step on it to open the top) that needs to be pushed in order to insert the diaper, I find that because I don’t perfectly package my diapers like disposables, the diaper often rubs against the side, you also have to push the cloth diapers down and my hand gets a bit of a scrape on the way up (after I drop the diaper as the flap is now closing). None of this would be issues for disposables, but as a cloth diapering mom I would highly recommend an ubbi, as the “hands free step” option is not hands free for cloth diapers.

Nice looking, but not 100% keep the smell.
I bought this as my second diaper pail in downstairs, as I had the Dekor plus used in upstairs. It looks clean and nice, which is the good part. It keeps the smell if you don’t get close to it. The drawbacks are as followings: 1, the plastic is very thin and it seems like the front door is easily to be broken. 2, if you walk close to it or change the bag, you will find a bad smell. 3, it is a little bit small and if you only use one diaper pail I will recommend the plus size. 4, price is a little bit high considering the money paid for refills in future. Overall, it works better than a regular garbage pail. I will give 3.5 stars.

Great product for dogs that are indoor potty trained
This product is perfect for dogs that are indoor potty trained. We've been using this for our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel since we bought it back in December 2020 (around 6 months ago), and we still haven't gone through the bags that came with it! It really helps keep the odor contained and also looks nice, highly recommended.
