This is going to work well. Everything is great for elderly family member EXCEPT, I don't understand why the lid isn't made to go on top of the opening instead of having to slide the bucket out to put the lid on?? The idea of the lid is to cover the bucket after you "go" in the middle of the night. The elderly can't safely slide the bucket out..with urine in it..and not spill it or drop it just to get the lid on. And no, you can't just set the lid on top because the lid is round and the opening in the top is elongated. Other than that, I would recommend

Replacement

It fits!! Yay!! I have a bedside commode that is just fine but over 10 years old and the bucket started to crack around the rim. The medical accessories store said the company no longer makes this model and there is no replacement bucket. I was told I would be eligible for another commode and insurance would pay. Well for crying out loud, why buy a new one when all I need is a $10 bucket that fits!?? My requirements were to have a lid and to have a sturdy handle. This bucket is perfect!! I'm thrilled. ????

I love the design and the sturdiness. Is about 2inches too tall but i make it work. Very pleased

Easy to assemble. Made for a large person

This was exactly what I wanted. But it came DAMAGED. The front right leg was bent. TJs made the whole commode off balance. The delivery box was damaged and taped. It was impossible to fix it ( a refrigerator must have damaged it),or (the driver threw it off the truck to the ground), because the commode itself seems very well made.

Great Chair!

This commode is super sturdy for my 5’7 135 lb mom who can’t stand up. She can slide from bed to commode and back easily without assistance. It’s very sturdy. It also required almost no setup. Great product, fast shipping.

Multi-uses

Using this as a shower chair. The arms can be moved down for ease of getting off the chair. Sits up high enough so the sit stand effort is little. The extra large seat allows for use by anyone.

fair price but not quality

Really reasonable price, unfortunately quality not as expected. Lid doesn't lock and not hermetically tight ( loose around the edge, in some areas not flash with top of bucket )

Commode Pail

Not sure on the universal. We required a deeper bowl for a commode chair since the supplied one was too shallow. This said 'universal' so thought I'd try it. Sadly it would not fit as is in the space provided. I ended up bending the metal supports on the chair to get it to fit. It's not a bad bowl and is slightly transparent so you can get an idea of what's been happening. However, I bought a new chair, excellent valueFolding lightweight commode chair with top loading easily removable pot which is foldable and portable and this pail fits exactly. So I have the use of the original and the new in this chair.

At less than $10.00 a great bucket

I'm not using these for a commode but they make a great bucket for making handmade papers. They are affordable and simple
