This is NOT easy to find anymore, needed new roll.

My crank laminator is so old school but works like a charm and when I ran out of the plastic laminate finally, I wasn't even going to bother looking for more as I thought it was out of stock. When I saw it on Amazon, I was surprised and also stunned to see how expensive it was to buy (over $60.+) and let it go. After going back to look at it, the price went down by $20.00 so I splurged and am so glad I got more to use. It is so handy and convenient for doing certificates for students and also for pictures I print on copy paper and then laminate them as gifts to send and give away. Preserves paper pages that are easily damaged if not sealed. Will use it wisely and hope it lasts a while. Nifty gadget to still have after so many years have passed.

refill for great cold laminator

I bought this for the 3M LS950 cold laminator (though it states DL951, it also worked for this one in the past). The laminator was a good buy. I have not needed to replace the first refill yet, which means you get a lot of bang for your buck with these refills. The laminator, itself, is great, though you need to be careful that you feed the paper in straight, else you sometimes get uneven edges. (In fact, a few times the paper moved to such a degree, a corner was outside the part laminated. This wasn't a problem for me, as they were not business papers. Doing business or professional papers, I am much more careful and feed the sheets in more slowly to avoid movement. You can keep you hand, lightly, on the page while slowly turning the hand crank to feed the paper into the machine to be laminated on both sides.)

We recently started a home based part time small business that requires us to laminate 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of card stock. Several years ago, we had used this product at our church in the church's ministry so when we were now in the need for the same sort of product, we didn't hesitate to purchase the laminator and film. Does a great job, doesn't leave bubbles or air pockets and from our research, cold laminating is better for inkjet documents. We are very pleased and Amazon has the best price and with free shipping, you can't go wrong. The same product sells for almost twice as much through one of the major office supply chain stores.

Works well

In spite of some cautions I had read on other posts I found the installation rather easy. I use this to laminate documents so they can withstand outdoor applications such as waterproof instructions for rigging sailboats and checklists that can be used with dry-erase markers. It works well for this. My only complaint is with the thickness of the laminate... the heat treated laminates are thicker, but more expensive both for the laminator and supplies.

Laminating material fine

I use this 3m laminating material to make cage cards for our local animal shelter. It works fine in my 3m machine and keeps the cage cards waterproof so they last a little longer and look nice on the dogs' cages. I don't have to use any electricity as it is a "cold" laminator but works as well as the old "hot" kind I used as a teacher.

Way too expensive!!

The laminator works well. Inserting this new cartridge is not always a breeze and you waste some plastic. What I like about it is that you can laminate longer material than just the standard letter size document. And the laminator doesn't have to warm up. But the price of these refill cartridges have increase by about 30% in a few months. They were already expensive. As a result, I don’t use this laminator nearly as much anymore and most of my lamination is done by a much more affordable Scotch thermal. It was much cheaper to buy and to operate.

Horrible Quality

1) It's very thin and the surface sticks to other pages. Very annoying. 2) A 60% increase in price in less than 6 months is robbery and totally unjustified.

laminator 950 refill

it is perfect, exactly what I ordered and needed to refill my old laminator. no problems with order. had some problems with Purolator shipping but mostly communication as their tracking indicated that my order was available for pick up in another location and did not indicate that it had been forwarded to my depot, so I received about a week later than expected. still a good purchase.
