Nice little camping trailer.

Picked this up for camping with my bike, I recently did a camping trip in Damascus, VA on the Virginia Creeper Trail(17 miles downhill) on my bike. Loaded roughly 70 lbs of gear on the back and this trailer handled it like a pro. I even used it to gather firewood and haul it back to camp. The d-rings are a nice addition, Not too fond of the back stability bar it kind of gets in the way if you have a lot of stuff to haul. Also the rain fly is not fully removeable without taking screws off, I kind of just tucked it under my gear.

Ordered used from Amazon, Missing the hitch

***Bought this USED "like new" from Amazon*** Outer packaging a bit beat up, obviously opened and repackaged with some clear tape, no inner packaging, no big deal. The trailer looks nice, easy to assemble. Came folded up with the wheels detached and no instructions/guide but everything was pretty self explanatory. Went to detach the hitch from the trailer so I can attach it to my bike and realized there is none. Double checked that it's not in the box, obviously empty. Trailer looks good and sturdy but I have no way to attach it to my bike. Amazon only gives me the option to return the whole package for a refund (and then reorder a different one). This would be too much trouble, so I decided to just keep the trailer and buy a separate hitch with the money I saved buying this "used." Wish it came with everything it originally included, but c'est la vie.

The wheels sort of wobble with how it is designed so I'm not sure about that.

The way you connect things with that quick release feature is fine and all, though sort of not secure it's fast to remove the trailer, but using it for the wheels too is sort of silly so they feel loose and not like you'd want to put 100lb of weight in this as the manual suggests. I had a tiny bit of an issue putting it together due to one of the bars you lock in place not wanting to fit so I had to force it to fit on one side on it's 'inside'. It's neat that it has little rings at the bottom of the inside of the cart/trailer as one could keep the tarp cover thing open and just use something to tie whatever is inside down using the rings at the bottom. Overall I like it but with how it costs as much as a cheap bicycle it ought to have better wheel security in my opinion. For all I know that's to add to the ease of riding so as to reduce friction or something but I don't know. If it had a longer 'arm' it'd be easier to tote around on foot also, my feet kept bumping into the thing as I pulled it along behind me while shopping in the store. Oh yeah, the way it attaches to the bicycle leaves little room for error in regards to installation of a back wheel. My wheel is a bit crooked now and will probably bend the frame with how having enough room for the nut AND having the wheel perfectly on straight is easier said than done. Four out of five though.

The Porter is a great offroad trailer

I needed a trailer with nobby tires to pair with my mountain bike for camping trips. The Schwinn Porter is perfect for the job, it tracks well, is relatively light, and can hold a ton of gear. I took it to coast camp in Pt Reyes and it performed great. Would recommend. Just a note, if you're pairing it with an Ibis Ripmo AF, you'll need a longer through axle (P1.75 12mmX160mm forked for me). Happy trails!

Oddly Capable Carry All

It's funny, I purchased this trailer to use behind my bicycle. I have ended up using it more in a maintenance capacity on the property I work at. It is great on its own for caring quite heavy and bulky supplies. I have left this trailer uncovered with the rain fly on outside through the winter. It held up near perfectly. The only thing that needed to be done was to add air to the tires. I would definitely purchase this again.

This "PORTER" is a REAL BEAST!!!! READ the Review's & BUY THE "PORTER"!!!! DO NOT buy THE "day tripper"!!!! After Reading MANY REVIEWS I just received the "PORTER" & I had it 90% Assembled before I needed ANY Instructions. So far it tracks behing My Mountain Bike like it is not even therre. Today I'm going out with a full load but not too much weight. So far I am VERY HAPPY with this "Schwinn PORTER" Trailer! I will UPDATE after a Month.

Perfect for shopping with an ebike

Got this for my Ariel XClass ebike to haul things when shopping. It is sturdy, has big enough tires and I really like that it is covered. It tows behind the ebike like it's not even there! Some thoughtful things: it does collapse flat for easy storage (wheels come off, sides fold flat), comes with reflector and a flag. I added a thin padlock to replace the pin so no-one can just unhook it.

Not recommended

Very disappointing product. Where to start? I went for a week vacation with my bike and the trailer and I had all sort of aventures: - The right wheel was squeaky and stuck every 30-40km. We had to stop, clean all the pieces around the cilinder and add oil as a workaround. We later discovered that the right wheel was faulty. The pieces around the cilinder are too close to each other preventing the wheel from turning. - The straps are not adjustable. This means that if you have an object slightly surfacing the size of the trailer from the top, you won't be able to close the cover and risk getting all your stuff wet. This is very disappointing, the whole purpose of having straps is that you can adjust them. - It is not sturdy. It will work well for short distances if you go to your local supermarket but not for long trips - Not waterproof. I have a lot of real waterproof objects and I can tell you that the thin plastic cover of this trailer won't do the job. It is a very cheap quality object, not recommendable

Nice, a bit heavy

Seems well built. Easy set up. Tons of room! Nice wheels. A bit heavy. Although, the coupler doesn't fit onto my bike, so the position locking mechanism isn't happening, and I had to use some of my own nuts to secure it on there. Because of this, I think, it has to be tightened quite often. The yellow cover is not a plastic rain cover FYI, it's some other kind of material that doesn't look totally water proof. And it's a pretty open design, you'll probably want a bag to put any loose items in. It has good walls on each side, but the back and front only have a crossbar and that same thin material from the cover for support. and it's not completely, like, secure, it's just kind of a flap in the back. All in all, I wish I had bought a one wheel one again. Less room, but not as wide on the road, lighter, and more maneuverable.

Fácil de acoplar, sencillo de usar. Aumenta enormemente la capacidad de tu bicicleta

Este remolque es muy bonito, los materiales parecen de buena calidad. El brazo que une al remolque con la llanta trasera de la bicicleta ese ve muy resistente y tiene un mecanismo de torsión que ayuda a que el manejo con remolque sea muy suave. Solo consideren frenar con tiempo, pues la inercia del remolque hace que tome aproximadamente el doble de distancia poder frenar bien. Segundo punto, acostúmbrense a acaparar miradas. Los remolques no son comunes en nuestro país, así que seguro los voltean a ver todos. Esto es malo o bueno, según su uso. Yo lo aprovecho para publicidad de mi negocio ;)

Make sure your bike is compatible

I bought this for my e-bike, and now that I received the bike and the return period is over, I found out the coupler is not universal and doesn't fit larger nuts. Customer service was incredibly unhelpful and I can't find a compatible coupler anywhere.
