Good Product

I purchased several styles of this same brand and finish for all my interior doors. I rate it 5 stars considering the price. I say that because I also purchased a much expensive set for exterior use and, even though those are superior, they are also far more expensive. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this product. As mentioned, I got approximately 20 sets of different flavors (lock, key, passage, deadbolt). This afforded me the opportunity to gauge quality and quality control for this company. All the locks behaved the same when installing and using the reversible feature. None were tighter or looser than others. They look very fine and feel good to the hand. When replacing existing locks, each should take no more than 10 minutes to do. I did run into an issue reversing the lock-and-key one because the included instructions did not refer to these. I called the company and they emailed me those instructions. They were also easy to call and the person was very helpful. I will leave this review for the other models, as well.

Great door handles - good quality, wonderful aesthetic and ergonomic design

Love these door handles! We replaced all our gold door handles in our home with this design. I've worked within consumer design research for years and live in a modern-styled home so am pretty fussy about anything I put into my home. Not only does the brushed nickel look great but the handles are so comfortable and ergonomically designed. The previous handles that these replaced were excellent quality and nice and heavy so I was concerned that anything I'd replace them with would seem cheap. Happily I was wrong as so far these seem to be of great quality. And when I use them the feel is nice and smooth so the internal mechanism must be well made. Bonus: I've never noticed any fingerprints on them!! I often open a door and think "wow do I love these handles". Very happy with this purchase!!

Not the same quality as the store bought.

As another reviewer have stated, this door handle does indeed have exposed screw holes - see image attached. The ones that Home Depot or Lowes sells have covers that do not expose the screws. We purchased it to replace the broken spring on the store bought, luckily the part fitment is identical and is more affordable, but the material seems to be different and the color finish is slightly of different shade. Not easily noticeable, but still different. This is the 4th time in about 3 years we have replaced the handle due to broken springs. We have other door knobs/handles that's more than 30 years old and are still working fine, so we don't have any expectation for this handle. This is most likely be the last time we're going to replace any door handles with this brand.

Nice finish

There is a learning curve to get the handle facing the correct direction. Once that is mastered, it’s easy to install . I have these handle sets throughout our home and they have held up quite nicely.

Love Merano and best bang for your buck.

Finally switched new house to levers. So easy to open with full hands now. Love the contemporary look of Merano and the design/material is 10X the Kwikset garbage it replaced. In order of the big 3 door hardware manufacturers least to greatest there is Kwikset, Schalge, and Baldwin. Schlage is the best bang for your buck value. Not junky like Kwikset and not a fortune like Baldwin. Noted the lock design has changed some where you are now able to lock and pull closed behind you. Older Accents would auto-unlock to prevent from locking yourself out. Nt a big deal to me but worth mentioning.

Nice lever, some issues

Nice looking lever. However I find it needs to be turned a lot until the latch starts moving, resulting in a lot of twisting required to open the door (standard 3/32" reveal). Also, contrary to all my other schlage levers, the handles aren't in sync, meaning one side turns about 1/8 of a turn before the other handle moves along. Probably too much play. I expect better quality control from a brand product. Overall it works but I expect better quality for being a Schlage product.

Lever has to be turned almost 90 degrees for the latch to disengage to be able to open the door versus the typical 45 degree of other major brands which makes opening the doors awkward and difficult for whom is used to the typical 45 degrees lever types mechanisms. Also, most of the levers have some degree of imperfections in the finish which is not acceptable for a new product from a quality control perspective.
