I use these for multiple places

I love these shoji screens. I have them mounted in my windows, I have them hanging from the ceiling to create a separation zone (I don't let it touch the ground, so that I can vacuum under the lowest screen.) I have a screen that I bought many years ago but I didn't have the best ideas for its use. It was moved from one place to another, and today, it has a large 3" rip & some stains on the rice paper.

Beautiful table top screen - hides my messy work space.

I moved my office/studio downstairs to the dining room so I can look out on the lake and the view when I'm working. This makes for a great working environment, but now my office is the first thing you see when you walk in the front door or come in from the patio... and between the computer & recording equipment (and my less-than-neat work style), it's pretty cluttered looking. I also don't love the idea that my office is immediately and completely visible to anyone coming into the house. I needed an elegant and streamlined way to divide the room and hide my workspace... something with a small footprint, that I could move/remove when needed (especially when working with a client) and that would fit in nicely with our eclectic ethnic decor. My solution: 24 panel Cherry Blossom Design Room Divider, 4-PANEL, BLACK Shoji Screens (I bought mine directly from Homedecorators.com), one at either end of my 64" dining room table, and one of these 3' tall 4 panel Double Cross Shoji Screens on the table top, expanded enough to span the length of the table. Perfect! There's still plenty of space on the table for all of my equipment and I love that I can easily reconfigure the screens to change the space if desired. It looks GREAT from the outside, but even looks nice from the "inside"... creating a beautiful cozy work area when I need to cut down on the distractions. p.s... the screen arrived well-packaged and protected... in perfect condition. I would definitely purchase from this seller again. My only "complaint" is that the price is a little high. The price for each of the full size 4 panel screens was MUCH less than this 1/2 size screen.

It's cute! Nice color and solid build. Wish the pattern was on both sides though since the back is easily visible bc of the height and folding.

The screens, generally speaking, are pricier than I expected they would be, but I ordered these anyway and overall I am happy with that decision. The construction is very nice and they are attractive, especially for my need. They fit perfectly, true to the description. I needed something to separate a loft space with a black metal railing from the main open area in the apartment so that someone could make the loft a full-time bedroom with as much privacy as possible. The screens do the job and actually make the railing attractive from below (see photo). The screens are black with white opaque panels, like frosted glass. Daylight can go through but even when lights are on in the loft, you can't see shapes behind the screens when looking from below. You can very slightly see shapes of some things directly against the screens in the loft when the loft lights are on but cannot tell what they are and the shadow is so slight I debated even referencing it here. And just to be clear, you cannot make out (or even see) shapes further away from the screens and the privacy for the new resident is basically as good as if it were a solid wall. Still, they seem pricey to me, but are of good quality. I am very happy with this purchase.

Used as window treatment with another screen

I replaced my drapes with these screens. I had an irregular height issue which I solved with a three foot high screen and a four foot high screen accomplishing the effect I was looking for.

What I expected

The outside box was dented when it arrived and so I was concerned. However it was packaged inside so that the product wasn't damaged at all. I have purchased a similar item in the past, and this one lived up to expectations. I read other reviews about other sellers, and there was not a return option. This one had one, but it arrived just as I expected without damage. Whew. Update: I returned the product. It was received a month ago by the seller. Seems that I still have not received a refund.

Exactly what we wanted!

We're using this as a nicer looking dog gate to stop our pooch from going downstairs at night. Love the half height and it arrived in perfect shape. There are just two things I'd change - I don't love the gold hardware and wish it was black, and I wish that the cross parts were on both sides of the screen. Still, we really like this and will be keeping it. Thank you!

Nice looking but careful with cats because the fabric material is a bit delicate.

I like this item so far. It's fairly light weight and the fabric is papery thin so it looks like it can get damaged if you're not careful. It's designed to be used as a desk privacy screen but it looks great as a fireplace cover. I don't use the fireplace at all so I needed an inexpensive alternative to hide the empty space.
