Un baule semplice, bello, in stile rattan, realizzato a mano con erba di giacinto d'acqua intrecciata a V splendidamente strutturata. Il coperchio spesso e consistente è incernierato alla scatola, e l'interno e la parte superiore sono rivestiti con un fine tessuto di cotone bianco. Le esclusive estremità ad arco e i piedini in legno apportano raffinatezza al design rustico; ottimo per riporre o un tavolino da caffè alternativo.

Good, but not all that durable

Attaching a picture of what our chest looks like after almost five years of use. It has been very functional and has served our purpose well, but just the act of opening and closing it to get shoes out has done this amount of damage over the years. So, a workable solution for storage, but not one you'll be passing down to your kids! On the issue of material, ours is definitely not made out of paper. It is made out of some kind of dried plant fiber. But the current product may not resemble what was sold five years ago. I may purchase another one of these, since it worked okay, but I'm going to search competing products for something the same size but sturdier. I do like that it is lined. It keeps dirt from shoes from falling through to the floor beneath.

Great chest for the price.

I wanted something that looked nice to store our blankets and pillows in for the living room. I was using a plastic bin but that was a bit unsightly. This has a great look and a great price. It's basically a big woven basket so it has that trade-mark scent that most baskets have. I put some potpourri in it and that scent went away. If you move it around a lot (or your kids like to climb on it) it can leave some small particles on the floor from the weaving, but again, it's like any kind of woven basket so I don't mind it. I was just glad I could afford something nicer than a plastic bin. The nicer storage chests are so expensive (which is why I was using a plastic bin) and then I came across this chest and was glad it was in my price range.

Good small storage foot rest

We use this in a rental as a foot rest/ storage bin. It looks nice and is functional. I will say that it was a bit smaller than I expected ( that is my fault for not reading the dimensions) but do not think that this is a large stoarge bin. While I think that it looks nice, and does the job, I also think that there could be a bit more quality. In my opinion the material used looks to be on the cheaper side.

Cute but cheap

It’s made of a really cheap paper material, after sitting on it once the top material flattened. I do like it though, and it’s great storage for our small house. Also sturdy enough for us to sit on when we have guests over. Cute with two pillows on top, too!

Pretty but not too durable

Serves the purpose and very pretty but definitely cheaply made. The rush grass can easily tear

MADE of Tissue Paper

You get what you pay for. This is not Rush Grass, or any other material I’ve ever seen on the popular sea grass storage baskets. It reminded me of tissue paper, or the cheap fabric used on the bottom of sofas & chairs. The color leans very unnaturally yellow- not tan. I worried that it would get ripped over time. However, it was the perfect size for the space, and my husband suggested painting it. I put a lot of layers of paint, both brush applied & sprayed to seal it, then didn’t like the end result of a grey color, then painted it again finally with the brown color in the photo above. I think all the paint added some protection to the fibers. The piece will not be used by children or really abused, so I think it will last me a bit. But, I can’t say how long it would last as it comes, and placed in a busier area.

Very Nice Quality

This is a really nice storage chest. I put it at the end of my (twin) bed, where it fits perfectly. The quality is good. The color is as in the picture, but it looks a little brighter in real view. I easily fit a regular pillow and two small pillows in it. There is room for more, easily another standard pillow or perhaps a blanket or twin quilt. The hinged top stays open when needed, does not fall down. It aligns perfectly with the chest itself when closed,no gaps. The weave is tight, no reeds sticking out. I sprayed it with Bitter Lemon, just in case, so my puppy wouldn't be tempted to chew on it. If I had cats, I don't think I'd take a chance with it, too tempting to use as a scratching post.

oriental rush grass storage chest

is very nice product and 'different' which is why I had to get it from amazon.com as opposed to .co.uk. it came from usa (apparently) so I had to pay potential fee for customs though I do wonder as it arrived within two days!! how did it arrive so quickly? anyways I was impressed with the service and the product. I plan to either use for storing bedding and blankets but keep it on my landing as a 'furniture' item because it is nice to look at ; or my original idea of in hallway, to store shoes. since still doing up hallway it is being kept safe in its box but is very nice quality and I love the shape which gives it its originality.
