well made boot

love the fit and color and sole, just a tad heavier than I had hoped, need a couple weeks to break them in and some mink oil

Wouldn't buy again for one stupid reason...

Pros: Comfortable. Well made. Fit is a little large, even with heavy winter sox. Okay, to be expected. Cons: Leather finish is suede, which was unexpected, and not what the photo looked like. Picked this style instead of "caper" cause I didn't want a green shoe. What the hell is "caper"? But here's the deal breaker (see photo). There's a metal thing attached to the lace, advertising the waterproof-ness, WHICH CANNOT BE REMOVED. Even if you unlace the boot (no easy feat), the metal thing won't pass backwards over the aglet. Really? Whose stupid idea was that? If there's a way to get it off, without a hack saw, someone pls tell me. So taking away one star.

I've always liked rockports. The shoe fits perfectly and it exceeds expectations in comfort

I like the construction of the shoe and how comfortable they are. I will forever by rockports

Inkspot - Much Brighter color than expected. *Edited*

Inkspot - The faded grey/blue in the picture is misleading. Very vibrant dark blue. Not an issue just not as neutral a color as hoped. The silly metal tag slides right off the laces. They are as simple to unlace as any other boot contrary to previous reviewer. Comfort - as comfortable as all rockports I've had before. Very comfortable just wish they has a little more arch support (as I have wished with previous rockports) *Edit 2 months later* Both little rubber logos on the rear have fallen off 2 weeks apart from each other negating waterproof. These get worn 2 days a week and are not abused. Gorrilla glue and super glue both failed to hold them in in attempt to repair. Very disappointed, but they are super comfortable. Lets go rockport, you can do better.

Ugly. Look better in pictures than in real life.

Pictures are way more flattering. I wore them for a hike. They are heavy, dark brown suede (not like the picture), and look like the came straight out of 1993. Donated them to Goodwill.

Good looking shoe just wish the color was closer to the advertised shoes. The blue is very bright blue like blue ink.
