Well built, rugged, not supremely comfortable, and what arch support

I had high hopes for these shoes, but not completely satisfied. Without a doubt, the are well built. The tread and soles are strong, definitely good for hiking, unless you need the ankle support by boots. On a number of long walks now, I haven’t found them to be as comfortable as I expected. The are a little snug in spots around the ankle and a little loose in the toes. The soles are also quite stiff, but I’m hoping much of this is just the need to use and break in. My main disappoint is the advertised arch support. I just do not see it. I will say that I am not a shoe engineer, but I have been supplementing my running shoes with arch support inserts for years now. The inserts included clearly do not have additional or improved arch support. These are the basic lightweight foam that most or all shoes ship with, despite the clear advertising on the insert of arch support. When I take out the inserts and feel around the arch area, it does not feel contoured, as if thre is arch support built into the shoe. So, I really do not get where this claim comes from. I had a spare pair of arch support inserts handy, so my testing has been in those. I still plan on using these and have a beach trip coming up so I plan on adding more long term use to this review,

Lightweight and comfortable; best for drier environments or hiking

These unique hiking shoes are a great fit for hiking in dry weather! While I think hiking boots can be helpful, sometimes they do feel very heavy and it can hurt the knees and legs. These shoes are designed to be lightweight and put less stress on your legs, ankles, and joints. And they fulfill that mission well. They are the lightest hiking shoe I've tried but still have a thick and textured sole that works better for hiking on rough ground than say, tennis shoes. They were very comfortable and come from a great brand. Did want to make note of some things, though. First, these shoes appear to be designed for dry hikes or ground that is dusty but not muddy. in the middle of the shoe are just straps so if you hike in mud or rain you are going to soak your socks. These also ran just a bit larger than I expected (I normally wear mens size 8 and it fits perfectly), although that can be a good thing with hiking shoes to make room for thick socks. Overall, I would recommend these hiking shoes - just know that they are almost like a hybrid of hiking boots and sandals.

Durable, Comfortable, Convenient Hiking Shoes

I hike almost every day. We have several trails within walking distance, and my dog refuses to walk on the road, only trails. I've owned a variety of different types and brands of hiking shoes and boots and these are one of my favorites. For the warmer months (I live in the northeast US) these are fantastic for quick hikes and keeping my feet cool and comfortable. They are convenient, slipping on easily as advertised. These use elastic which is woven throughout the shoes to hold them together and make them comfortable and flexible, and also for the laces which quickly slip on and off. I personally would describe these more as heavy-duty or well-made than light-weight. These are very durable, and though they have what I'd call a "semi-open" design, I've found the soles, shoes, and general build quality to be excellent. I've banged these around over the past 1-2 months, gotten them wet, and even used them on some challenging trails and they are still essentially good as new. I've seen no "weak spots" or signs of premature wear and tear. From my experience, the overall design and build quality of these hiking shoes are as good as I've seen in any other "premium" hiking shoes/boots that I own or have owned. Additionally, in the area of comfort, I have flat and wide feet and I find the insoles in these shoes to be very comfortable. They do provide some arch support and a decent amount of cushioning. I do own other more "boot-like" hiking shoes that I do think have better support, but considering that these are built to be lightweight and designed to wear bear footed I'm quite happy with the comfort and support in this area. Overall, I have been incredibly pleased with these hiking shoes. They are comfortable, convenient, and very well made, and durable. I've used these on dozens of hikes from easy to challenging trails and they perform just as well as they hold up. Since acquiring these, they are usually the first shoes that I reach for when hiking. I would absolutely consider purchasing these in the future and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a hiking shoe in this category/design.

Love these versatile hiking shoes.

I broke these out for a vacation to Charleston Sc. That means a lot of walking in the city and lots of long walks on the beach. I was uncertain about how these would work as they kind of look like hiking shoes but with the open sides, you'd think that rocks and things might find their way in. I think that for beach wear, you'd wear these without socks and they work well that way. I didn't find that small rocks worked their way into the openings. Sand did find their way in the shoes but not much. I found that they worked very well for the beach. I found them much more comfortable then say Crocs or Tevas. For city walking, they were great. I think they look good enough that they don't look too grubby to wear out. And they work very well taking long walks in the city. Overall, I have been really pleased with these shoes. They also are very easy to slip on and off making them handy for airport travel. Or just to easily pour out sand on beach walks. I highly recommend these.

歩きやすい！

クッションがしっかりしておりフィット感がいい感じで、通気性もいいのでこれからの季節にぴったりだと思いました。ただサイドの隙間は思ったよりも開いており、山などので履く際には枯れ葉や土などが入りそうなので、普通の平坦な道を歩く方がおすすめです。気持ち大きめに感じました。余裕を持ったサイズではなく、ぴったりよりのサイズを注文した方がが良さそうです。

ソールのクッションが良い

事務所の上履きとして購入。30㎏の荷物を持ち上げたり、台車で箱を運んだりすることが多いので、安全かつ夏に向けて蒸れない靴を探していました。keenの靴はポーツマスという革靴を履いていますが、足25.5㎝で靴26㎝を履いていますが、大きめです。今回は、先人のレビューにて小さめと聞いていたので、あえて26㎝にしました。今回はピッタリです。足の甲、つま先を守りつつ、サイドが網なので、蒸れないと思われます。踵は脱ぎ履きの際、踏み潰しても大丈夫そうですが、履いている時のフィット感を求める私は踏まないで使用するつもりです。安全、蒸れない、フィット&クッションでこの夏は快適だと思います。スーツやスラックスに合うように黒を選択しました。

通気性は良いのですが隙間から石や砂が…

こちらは大変履き心地が良く通気性は良いのですが隙間から石や砂が入りやすいのでランニングシューズとしての利用は向かないかもそして、オフロードやトレイルラン向きではないかと思いました。現在は手持ちのメッシュで応急処置的に塞いで利用をしております。足の裏が疲れにくいのと通気性が良いのでどんどん歩いて行くことが出来ました。足元を蒸れず過ごせるという事は凄く重要だったので嬉しい靴です。

普段履きからアウトドア用途まで幅広く使える

トレッキングシューズのようにしっかりした造りでサイドは網目になっていて通気性抜群です。これからの暑い時期に最適なスニーカーでデザインもカッコイイですね。ソールのグリップも抜群で厚みがあるので衝撃も吸収してくれるので山道も安心です。普段履きからアウトドア用途まで幅広く使えるスニーカーです。

夏に良い個性的なデザイン

形崩れしないかっちりした頑丈な作りの靴です。サイズは通常通りを選びましたが丁度良かったです。硬めの生地ですが特に痛くなったりする事もなく快適に履けました。靴底ラバーもかなりしっかりした感じで滑り止め効果が高そうです。夏にぴったりの個性的なデザインなので敢えて差し色になる靴下を履いてレースアップ部分から見える様に合わせるのもお洒落でいいかなと思います
