Love mittens but feel deceived

So I did a bit of research to find the best organic mittens with a reasonable price tag. I concluded these were by far the most popular mittens with great reviews and a decent price for TWO pairs of mittens. Well they arrived and there was only ONE pair in the package. I obviously went off the picture shown of Two pairs thinking for $8 that's not too bad. Had I known they were $8 for ONE pair I definitely would have kept looking! The mittens are nice and if you don't mind spending $8 for one pair I'd recommend them. I gave the mittens a high rating because they are nice but the photo was deceiving and if I was rating on description I would give them one star for false advertising!

Perfect for Newborn!

I first bought these several years ago with the birth of my first son. He was eight pounds and could get the all the other mittens off easily so I searched for an answer. It was so frustrating. I finally came across these and almost balked at the price, but ordered these. They are so wonderful. My baby can't get them off no matter what and they are not too tight around the wrist. They also look so nice compared to the Gerber baby mittens and are of way higher quality. We are so grateful for this product! After my second son, they started getting holes in them. Considering the daily use the first few weeks for two newborns, I think that is reasonable and was not too shocked. When I was in the ninth month of pregnancy with my third son, I went ahead and ordered another pair. I am just as pleased as when I originally purchased the first pair. I would highly recommend these to anyone.

Best Scratch Mittens, worth every penny!

We were given several pair of scratch mittens after we'd already bought these. My daughter constantly scratched her face as a newborn, and so she spent the first two months of her life in these mittens. The other mittens we'd been given never stayed on. These however, I can't remember them ever on e falling off, and yet they weren't to tight either. They're also super soft. We relied on them so much we ordered two more pairs despite their higher price tag. We also love that they're organic. She also used them again a year later as an extra layer underneath her knit mittens when we'd go on our daily winter walks. They're not super warm on their own, but their light weight material made them perfect for doubling up under heavier weight mittens. I also recently bought a pair for my brother and his wife who just had a baby and they to love them and find they stay on better than any other mitten.

wonderful breathable mitten

these mittens are wonderfully breathable and soft - which is great because my daughter has recently learned to suck on her knuckles, and it's starting to get warm here in california! had to wait until about 1-month old to start using these since she was born on the small side, but now that she's been wearing them for about a month now, i have to say i really love the soft breathable fabric, and don't mind her sticking it in her mouth every chance she gets. the elastic fits her wrists very well, and does not slip off or pinch (now that she's big enough). but i don't think she'll quite last til 6 months before she outgrows them. the original pair i received had one of the mitten's elastic break after the first wash, and i contacted satsuma customer service, and they very promptly sent me a replacement. excellent customer service!!!

My baby is a scratcher and these mittens were a life saver. The fabric is just the right thickness and prevents his little nails from scratching his face, while still thin enough to let his hands breathe as they tend to get sweaty. The elastic is the perfect amount of stretchy to stay on his hands despite some very active arms, and the small ribbon tab is a great design feature that allows you to easily put on the mittens as well as take them off. They fit him perfectly as a newborn at 7 pounds, up until he weighed about 14 pounds at 2.5 months of age. Unfortunately his wrists and arms started getting a little too pudgy around then and he had to stop wearing them. Now i'm having problems finding mittens I like for the next size up... please make a bigger version of this!

looks good, but too tight....

the elastic on these are way tight, and the actual mittens are teeny tiny. they're super cute though, which is why i kept trying to use them, but one time they ended up cutting off the circulation in my baby's hands, and when i took them off, she screamed like crazy. that was when she was 6 weeks old. these are probably real good when the baby is fresh out of the womb because the bigger ones just keep sliding off.

its okay

pros: its organic, soft, easy to fit cons: baby's hands has a lot of thread-like material from the mittens once you remove them. So I have to make sure to clean her hands throughly otherwise when she tries to put her hands in her mouth and stuff might get into her mouth. Not good. I thought this would just happen the first few times, but I have washed it several times and still seems to happen, although not as much as the first couple times i used it.

Cute but way to small

I brought these to the hospital for my newborn boy, who weighs 8 lbs. 2 oz., and unfortunately they were way to tight on his little wrists and left little red marks after only wearing them for 20 minutes. It was a shame, because they did stay on, looked cute, and were very well made. I wish they offered a variety of sizing options. I ended up buying a few pairs of guavamitts that come in 2 different sizes, and those fit much better.
