Great bricks but kind of expensive

I really like these bricks and use them in an offset smoker firebox for bottom insulation. I've used them for many cooks and there is no cracking or chips. They do a great job insulating the firebox so that the fire stays hot and burns more efficiently.

Easy and well made

Used them to replace cracked refractory panels in fireplace. Was happy with rutland fire bricks and the arrived via ups in perfect condition, were packed well. I cut with diamond blade on angle grinder. I appreciate not having to cure the bricks and used Rutland castable Refractory Cement to bind. them to insulation in fireplace. Would be nice if there was a thinner product by rutland with same or close to heat rating of these bricks as their size does shrink your fireplace opening...butnperhaps they will last longer than the panels, hence the size. Only gave 4 stars due to price as $40 is a bit steep for 6 bricks, $30 would seem to be more inline

Pros: great heat resistant oven base plats. Cons: retaining heat too long will lead to premature fratures.

Real Deal fire bricks. Work Great

These are true to size, dense and sturdy. They will fit like original fit bricks and will be very snug (A good thing) . I believe these will last much longer than the less dense loose fitting bricks. Be sure to get every speck of ash out from where you want to replace the fire brick so that these will fit.

Easy install and peace of mind!!

Standard size firebrick to replace the cracked and crumbling bricks in my wood stove. Came quickly and fit nicely into the stove insert. Purchased some extra for future replacement. Process is simple, clean out ash, remove damage bricks, insert new bricks. 15 minutes. Can"t comment on the durability yet.

I use these in the bottom of my Treager smoker to even out the cool spots. Works exactly as I wanted it too. Prior to installing I had a 15 degree Celcious shift in temp from one side to the other. Now its maybe one or two degrees difference. Good value, all bricks were intact.

Works amazing, but one stone arrived in 2 pieces, I still use it. otherwise I would rate a 5 but the packing was not so good, needs much more foam for shipment I lay them out in my oven and bake bread on them, it takes time to heat up but once it's hot your oven will not lose heat even when openning the door

Bought 4 Boxes All Good

I ordered 4 boxes. The arrived with no broken bricks. Looking forward to using these to build a metal casting table. I would buy more of these if I needed more fire bricks.

I've been looking all over for fire bricks that were good and solid all I could find were pourious and fragile bricks. I was very pleased when these arrived good and solid and smooth if you're looking for fire bricks for your stove these are a great deal
