Don't read complaints. It works the way it always did.

If the wire is too far apart or too close; you just move the square plastic piece forwards or backwards to adjust. No flaws.

something for the "office toy box"

The product seems and feels sturdy at first glance and feel. Something one would not expect for the price. The wheel itself does not have a stable look to it. It will probably break after beeing thrown to the ground 5 or 6 times. It is great to give to people to get their minds of things. I personally like it and pick it up from the "office toy box" to play with it from time to time. It is also nice for explaining friction and magnetic forces to the little ones. As it stops from tilting at a certain speed, one could also explain the principle of the gyroscope and thus the rotational energy. I would say the longelivity of the thing greatly increases with children over 9. Bottom line is that its very good value for the price and fun to play around with(but probably not more than 5 minutes a week).

Fun, nostalgic toy

I remember playing with these things as a kid, and from memory (which may not be all that accurate) I recall the wheel never leaving the track. This one is good, but if you go too fast, the wheel flies off into the wild blue yonder. I'd recommend not rolling it too quickly or playing with it somewhere it's okay to lose the wheel. Either way, my son loves it!

Not as good as the original Wheel-O

While the toy does work, it requires too many adjustments to make it consistently interesting for a three -year- old child.

Excellent toy

Great toy. My 8 year old spends hours having the gyro wheel go, trying to have it go faster & trying tricks. Great educational opportunity to teach about magnetism, gravity, gyroscopic properties and other scientific topics. And there are no batteries to charge, can be used anywhere, day or night. So good to have a simple toy that allows so many fundamental lessons. I will certainly be back for more of these types of items.

works but flimsy construction

The toy works, very fun and educational for my 4 year old. Only thing I did not like is that the construction/quality is not what I expected, it seems pretty flimsy. Other defect I observed is that the red tab which moves up or down to control distance between two wire rails is not well placed. If you move it up to reduce distance between wire rail then it starts bumping into the rotating wheel. If you move it down, now the distance between wire rail is too large for the wheel axle to ride on it. It just has to be right, there is very tiny margin of error!!!

Product is as shown and sturdy

Good the kid enjoyed it, the hand rail is sturdy and the magnetic axel of the wheel is well fitting on the rail. The wheel fits snugly on the rail even in the moderate speed.

Retro Toy

I bought the magnetic gyro wheel as a bit of fun and retro feel as i recal having one as a kid and finding it fascinating - now that i am older it is still fascinating, but i see how it works and the principal behind it - toys are not made like this anymore and as basic as this is, it has theraputic like feel when using it. Construction is fine for the purpose of this toy - although i have the urge to get a coat-hanger and make my own :-) Unless toys today like to chew electricity kids are not interested, but these retro toys can be used by all generations and both sexes. Brought back memories and has helped relax me after a day at work. Now i wonder what i can buy next.

Made me smile !

This bought back found thoughts of my childhood, and made ny Grandchildren smile and were playing with them for hours. well worth the money. Thank you
