Same useless item that's still cool to look at

One came on a jeep I bought and I thought it looked cool so I bought another for a different jeep

It would be great and all except the forward and backward angle is about 15° off which is annoying but other than that it works fine. Feels cheap though

Know your vehicle angle.... This works

This Inclinometer is perfect for my tractor. The tractor I am referring to is a road tractor, i.e., street legal. My truck tractor, is an Isuzu NPR and though the indicator depicts a jeep, I have found that to be a minor inconvenience. The roll shows me how fast I can actually take a curve in this tractor, and the pitch shows how much braking is being done when I rush to a stop. It is a lighted version, and can be seen quite easily at night too. I attached it to its own light switch, so my dashboard is separate from the indicator. For instance at night, if the tractor is parked on a incline, I can turn on the lamp to see the indication at a glance. With this indicator, I have been able to determine how fast I can take a curve, how much cornering I can muster without tipping over the truck. Of course, you have to collect data on what can and cannot be done and this meter allows you to collect this data for future use. It's a plus for me. Mounts on the dash, and looks distinguished when looking at the dashboard on a medium duty truck tractor. The cost is just right for the information it gives. The only drawback would be, that you have to mount it on a surface horizontal with the vehicle, since it does not have an adjustment if the mount surface is not level with the vehicle.

Look for another item. Don't waste your money or time on this on.

I hate to write a bad review. However, when an item comes straight out the box with both indicator locked up and I had to open it to fix. Now after two days playing with it. I got it to zero. However, the deflection sucks. The wheels are not hung up on anything. It's just very slow. I park the jeep at the post office on level ground. When I get out of the car it show all but level. However, when I get back to the car all's well. That's very show. When I go off road forget about it. Please purchase another item. You get what you pay for. Sorry it's just my opinion Wm Petaluma, Ca.

Good product

So I give this 5 stars, because its exactly what is described, and adds kind of a cool touch. It however is smaller then I thought which isn't a bad thing, I mounted mine the right of the steering column behind the panel ramp against the window, kind of like the old tacs. on some cars. it has a cool effect there. I would recommend this product, just for looks alone. It has become a conversation piece.

Works after I fixed it.

When I received the item, the roll worked fine but it was obvious the pitch was stuck. Regardless of how I moved it, the pitch was stuck, cocked at 30 degrees. I used a small, flat tip screwdriver to pop off the faceplate and a Phillips screwdriver to remove the clear protective plastic. After jiggling the gears for a few seconds, they began to move on their own as I rotated the device. It works as intended now, but it would've been nice if it worked straight out of the box.
