Right Size

We bought an older home that had a Delta (RP77092SS) tub spout that used the adapter (RP33794) on a 1/2" copper line. The adapter effectively makes the line ~1-1/8" instead of 1/2". Lowe's and Home Depot has very limited selection and in my case all they had was two spouts in chrome that had the larger 1-1/8" hole. That's a no-go because it wouldn't match the shower head and valve which was brushed nickel. This unit has the larger hole to accommodate the 1-1/8" fitting from the adapter. Took less than 30 seconds to put on the new tub spout. You can remove the adapter but some of them are soldered on. In my case, the adapter was soldered onto the copper line and I didn't want to cut the line to remove it. Ordered this as a lucky guess hoping it had the larger hole and it does. Works very well and much easier to use than the older tub spout. Not crazy about the price but still cheaper than buying the exact model that was on before. I do not recommend the other model (RP77092SS) as it had parts falling out of it into the tub. Looked newish but was not holding up very well. I will edit this review in the future if this tub spout starts to fall apart.

Good Product

I chose the entire set to put into my house as it was being built. So, it was the contractors that originally installed the fixtures. The tub spout began a leak which, over time, became larger and larger. So, at 8 years after installation I decided to replace it. I had seen the reviews on Amazon that it was plastic. So, I assumed the inside was plastic and the outside was metal. However, to my surprise, the entire tub spout is plastic. Both the old one and the new one. So, yes, this is a plastic fixture. However, it looks quite real (like metal). So, if you don't mind plastic this is a great product. The new spout works great! I wanted to give it a 4 because it is plastic, but I can't because it is as it's described and it works perfectly.

Delta Faucet

Bought this as a replacement faucet, as the existing faucet I had broke and enough time has passed that the original model/set is now discontinued. This paticular faucet works fine, except for one little peculiarity--have to pull up and hold the pull-up diverter (basically play around with it) until it eventually will stay in position so that the water can be diverted to the shower head. Pretty annoying. It does the job, but not seamlessly.

SUPER ATTRACTIVE

its a nice faucet. i caught my cat peeing on my old one whoopy doop!!!! It was too nasty to keep my faucet like that. I bought this one!!!! It works just fine!!!! Its so attractive that my other faucets and everyone else will just fall for it. Not letting my grandaughter around it LOL.

This spout is a piece of junk!!!

I ordered this spout to replace my 12 year old original Leland tub spout. The original lasted 12 years and never gave me a problem until the diverter gasket failed. I installed the new replacement spout and in less than 5 seconds the new spout gasket blew out blowing water everywhere. I called Delta customer service about my problem and the customer service rep blamed me for installed the spout wrong. I told her that it is physically impossible to install it wrong; it just screws on!!! After arguing for a few minutes they agreed to send a replacement. This replacement (now the 2nd new spout) had the gasket blow out in less than 3 minutes!!! These spouts are nothing more than junk. I guess I will install an aftermarket diverter since the OEM Delta parts are such poor quality. DO NOT BUY...
