Lingering odor is the only downfall so far

I love the "crystal clear" containers and the way they look in the cabinet. I've only used one for the last couple of weeks for brown sugar. I decided to move the brown sugar to a smaller container. I was pleased to find that the sugar was still soft but after washing and drying the first container that I used, it still smells like brown sugar...so I'm not impressed with the claim that these don't absorb odors. Maybe it's best to use these for only dry food items.

Really good quality

I was a bit hesitant to spend the money on these but after getting them, I really like them. Using them for flour and sugar. Nice to see through them to see quantity of ingredient that is left. I did purchase a brown sugar teddy bear softener for the brown sugar - it works great - no more hardened brown sugar when you need it!

Great storage system!

I purchased these to replace older sugar and flour containers. I love that the lids snap on tight and that the smaller ones can be stacked for saving space. They felt like an investment with the price point, but the quality seems like they will last a long time. Dishwasher safe is a plus!

Got this because a bag of flour I got split and I needed something to put it in. Came fast, can tell it’s definitely airtight. Looks sleek in the pantry. I washed it before use and it was easy to clean. Great for the price! I want to get more for sugar, breadcrumbs, etc.

love it's large storing capacity but small frig footprint.

it can hold a lot of something but not take up too much sq footage in the frig - a big plus. also, like the other Brilliance containers i have, this is airtight storage and is very easy to clean.

Fits 5# bag of long grain rice perfect

I got the 12cup to store a 5# bag of regular long grain white rice in the pantry. Fits perfectly.

Review of Rubbermaid Brilliance Pantry Airtight Food Storage Container BPA-free plastic, 12 cup

I have the largest Rubbermaid Airtight plastic container that I use for storing flour. I like the large one for flour as it is airtight, a nice size to fit in my cupboard. I bought this 12 cup one thinking it was the same size as the one I own. It is smaller. However I store sugar in it, and it is sufficiently large enough to store a medium size bag of sugar ? 2 or 4 kg bag of sugar.

Better than I thought they'd be.

The only thing I found disappointing about these containers (I bought two) was the size, but that was my fault. I thought the 12 cup size would be a great deal larger than it actually turned out to be. Other than my mistake in gauging the size I needed, these are really well-made, have great suction between container and lid. I love that they're see-through. I'd buy them again without hesitation.

does not stain. like tomato sauce.

when used with pasta, iI put small one in microwave with pasta. put water and dawn dish soap( the blue one) Shake then rinse all clear. RUBBER MAID! YOU HAVE KNOCKED THIS ONE OUT OF THE PARK FOR SURE!
