Parts missing
Only gave this 3 stars, not because of the product itself but because it had been previously opened and was missing some of the smaller o rings. I think the kit itself is good, just beware if it looks to have been opened previously. Had to finish my rebuild with o rings from a hardware store as time was not on my side to return

Not exact fit for Smith contract 190216 sprayer but works
Based on the review of another here, I thought I would give it a try. This package (Roundup 181538 repair kit) clearly indicates the two sprayers that it is intended for... Roundup and Ortho with ML & 'O' style tanks so no surprise that it is not an exact fit. My sprayer (2016 Smith Contractor 190216-2 2 gallon) had a hard time creating pressure (x100 pumps for minimal pressure) but once pressurized, it seemed to hold for the current job. The package contains 2 different 'O' rings... the smaller of the two looked to be too small and the larger was bigger than the original. I installed the larger and although it is a bit sloppy, it works great. The smaller one MAY work too but I just wanted a tighter fit inside the pump walls. Now, each and every pump pressurizes the sprayer. I also replaced the check valve located at the end, just for good measure. I do bleed the system after each use so I may never notice the potential improvement. I did not try or use any of the other replacement parts. I have a fully functioning sprayer again. The weeds never saw see me coming :-)

Awesome kit
I left my sprayer in my greenhouse all summer and baked the gaskets. This kit had everything I needed to make my sprayer new. Great directions also. Saved me from buying a new sprayer.

Only needed on gasket, but had to buy a complete kit.
A little expensive. Had to buy kit to get 1 gasket. Rest of parts not needed.

DID THE JOB, VERY PLEASED
I have two Roundup sprayers, both the large 2 gallon type. I use one with Roundup to kill the weeds all the way around the house, when they push their way up through the rocks. The Roundup does a great job. In the other Roundup sprayer I have weed killer for lawns, which also does a great job in the Roundup sprayer. Yesterday I discovered one of the Roundup sprayers let in air every time I pumped it. It was so frustrating, I couldn't use it. Today I went to Home Depot to look at the sprayers. I told the sales person who was helping me, about the problem with the sprayer. He showed me this kit. I was a bit reluctant to purchase it, as I wasn't confident that any of the washers would fix the problem. I asked the man if it didn't work, could I bring it back for a refund, he said yes. When I got home, I took the old washer off, and compaired it to the washers in the kit. Clearly it was the largest one I needed. I followed the insructions, by smearing vasaline on it and then stretched it onto where it belonged. It was a nice and tight fit. I pumped the plunger a few times, I couldn't hear any air going in. When I tried spraying, it worked. I felt very pleased with myself. I'm glad I got this kit, it saved me some money, I was all set to buy a new sprayer. The same kit cost almost $7 without tax in Home Depot, it costs $8.86 here with free shipping. I probably paid almost the same here, by the time the tax was added on at Home Depot. I'm very happy with my purchase. I may buy a spare just incase the other sprayer needs fixing. I'm adding this to my wish list. **UPDATE** It's been over a year since I reviewed this product, it's still working great. Recently I discovered Home Depot didn't have these any more, so I purchased a spare from Amazon, so I have one handy. Very happy I can get them here.

First removing the plunger was a task....pushing in side tabs and twisting at same time. Once accomplished the rest was EASY & Sprayer is once again working!
