Strong enough

I thought this magnetic curtain rod was a bit pricey but the mostly favorable reviews convinced me to take a chance. The cafe curtains are very lightweight so the rod isn't in danger of sliding down because of the weight. Now it's just a matter of seeing if it will stay in place with the door being opened and closed. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Very good product

This is a very good product. We use ours for our window on a metal door, and don't have any problems with it. The only time it's ever been knocked down is when my large dog has jumped on it, which is to be expected. 10/10 would buy again.

Slides too much

I got this for my classroom, and after I placed my flip calendar on the bar, it slid down my white board and scratched it. I had to place a piece of tape under each magnet, and then it stopped sliding. If you use it for a a flip magnet, then maybe don’t hang the summer months or take off Saturday and Sunday to make it lighter.

If you really need the black color don’t order this one. It’s brown/bronze. Holds well. Easy installation

Works Well

Second purchase, 1st holds a fairly heavy cotton blend curtain and 2nd holds a light weight lace type curtain. Both are on doors that open and close frequently and they stay in place. 2nd rod curtain is opened and closed multiple times daily with no issues.

Works well....

The rod was just what I needed. The magnets are strong and is effective in holding up a lightweight black out curtain. I needed something for a steel door that didn't require putting holes in it. This worked out for me. The only draw back was price. It was a little more than I expected to pay but in the end it will pay for itself.

Expensive but certainly worth the money.

Although it’s advertised as a curtain rod for a steel door it can be adapted to many other uses. Fantastic for using to hang my kitchen utensil from as the magnetic pads are really strong, I have it attached to my stainless steel cooker hood.

Very strong!

The magnets are VERY strong, I don't understand the reviews that say otherwise. Was hesitant to try this with a thick blackout curtain because people said the weight would be too much, but it's so sturdy and takes a lot of effort to pull off. The bars are a bit loose when sliding into one another, you have to hold them carefully to put it up so they don't slip out of eachother and drop the curtain. But no performance issues once up and very happy I gave this a shot.

Surprisingly strong hold

Although I feel this is overpriced it functions quite well. Slip the rods through both ends of the curtain and done. The magnets hold quite well on a steel door. We'll see if the slip once the winter weather comes and the steel is cold but overall I'm quite happy with this product
