Great on Berber!

I bought this product because the carpet installer did not seal the seams on our new berber carpet. Upon receiving this item, I discovered I would have to pull up the carpet to properly seal the seams. This is not something I was willing to do, I got some metal strips to cover the seams instead. I thought I'd use this product around the firplace area, since that area wasn't sealed. I have yet to do that though. What I DID do, is fix places in the carpet that got pulled when furniture was moved. It turns out, our love seat had some staples left in the feet from 10 years ago. When we sat down, the seat slid and pulled up brand new berber. We were horrified about how to fix this issue. I looked online for a solution, but it was nothing an amateur could really fix. I wasn't willing to cut entire portions out and put new portions in place. This product, though not shown on the packaging for this type of fix, worked! I took the kitchen shears and cut out the loop that pulled up. Thankfully, it only affected a single, narrow row. As the sealer says, it dries clear. The fix isn't noticeable. No one in my family could see where the fix was. I also like that this sealer does not have any discernible odor.

Not very thick, and it takes long time to dry but works if you use a generous amount

I was skeptical at first, especially because after the application it leaves unpleasant white lines on the carpet where the glue becomes visible, and it’s not very quick to dry despite what is written on the bottle. I gave it at least 12 hours to totally dry, and I was glad to find out the next day that the residual glue became totally transparent, so it’s impossible to tell that the carpet has been repaired. It definitely did its job, but you will need a generous amount of glue to make it work as it’s liquid and not very thick.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE DOGS

I liked it, but to no fault of the manufacturer it's apparently VERY appetizing to dogs. My shepherd who has NEVER touched carpet ate a 3ft section where I had used a small amount of this glue on a tear. You've been warned. I wasnt sure what rating to use because it probably works well for most but I'll now be spending $4,000 to replace my entire living room carpet

Use the product immediately

I did not use the product immediately, and would have had to return it earlier this month. When I removed the cover, the seal was broken inside and contents were dry. The contents were white, and it didn’t appear they would dry clear as advertised. If you don’t use immediately, at least make sure it is sealed so you can return if necessary.

Works well

This product works well. It's not as thick as I hoped and will run is too much is applied. Adjoining carpet pieces is tricky and should be done from the backside

Dries clear, tough and easy to use

I used this adhesive for the cut edges of a rug that we had to trim down to size. The adhesive was easy to use, the consistency was like Elmers glue. It dried quickly and formed a hard seal for the carpet. There are no loose fibers coming from the cut seams.

this stuff really worked for us

We had an area of carpet that was pulled/ripped/torn from the floor due to a rambunctious puppy scratching it whenever she got excited, or someone would pull into the driveway or God forbid ring the door bell. This behavior continued over a period of time, well into "doghood". I decided I would try to glue it down before it was completely shredded and purchased this to try. I was pleasantly surprised and how well this stuff worked. I "glued" it down a few months ago and its still holding today. I'm heart broken to say that our beautiful, precious Nikki passed in Nov. to cancer at the young age of 8 but we have the carpet among other things to remind us of her daily. If it worked to hold several jagged tears in the carpet down this well to the floor, with torn up chunks of padding under it here and there, I'm confident it would work on other repairs very well.
