Love it!
We LOVE this heater for cool nights!!! Just ordered another one for the front porch as well. We have it hanging between two patio chairs. It's perfect for just the two of us. It certainly doesn't give off heat for a large area by any means, but keep it close by and it works great! We had it out all last winter. It was buried under snow, knocked over and laying on the ground for 2 months. Still works!

I was very dissatisfied with this product. Even on high it does not throw out enough heat to keep one person warm. Even with a heavy coat it does no good. I have friends over and the three of us freeze. If this had some kind of blower with it I'm sure it would work better. I'm trying to decide whether to send it back....which I should.

Aluminum finish stained by oil or something
Gave this unopened as a gift, and was embarrassed that it had a big oil stain on the aluminum finish. It was too late by then to return.

Ne pensez pas vous réchauffer l'hiver avec ca
Je me cherchais quelque chose pour me réchauffer sur ma galeries l'hiver.. je ne voulais rien au propane j'ai donc opté pour ça.. mais je crois que c'est vraiment juste pour l'été sous une terrasse.. aucune idée si ça fait la job en été en fait mais pour ma part, si tu a ton manteau une tuque mitaine, il va seulement avoir ton visage qui va se "rechauffer" si tu met ton visage vers la lampe.. sinon tu dois être proche en maudit pour sentir une chaleur.. peut être le mien est défectueux? Aucune idée... ce n'est pas une source de chaleur qui est propulsé comme une chaufrette qui pousse l'air chaude, c'est seulement une lumière chauffante! Je crois que pour sa description, c'est bien indiquer car moi j'ai choisie de l'utiliser en hiver donc c'est surment pour ça que ça ne fonctionne pas autant que je le souhaiterais, mais dans l'ensemble tout fonctionne comme prévue, je sens une chaleur et comme c'est indiqué c'est plutôt pour les soirée fraîche d'été à l'extérieur :)

This is an excellent heater. I found that installed at around 6 feets high, we can feel the heat between 4' and 5' from each side from the center of the element. THS IS NOT MADE TO HEAT A SPACE, INFRARED HEAT DIRECT OBJECT'S NOT THE AIR LIKE HOUSE BASEBOARD, CERAMIC FAN HEATER ECT.... Radiation distance is simple to caculate, each time you double the distance ( more or less) it's 4 time less or more radiation. Per example if you are at 5 feets if you go at 10 feets, you will have 4 time less radiation so it will basically be 4 time cooler. But to be clear, it's not hot as you think, you feel the heat but not like you are front of a camp fire...I would say the infrared remove humidity from the air and you feel a kind of warm feeling, maybe like when the sun have a light veil of cloud. In my idea, it's good up to 12-13C maximum in and open space with no wind. As long as you know the limitation and you use it in the limitation range, it's ok.

Good quality design and construct but very weak output.
It’s a very well made and attractive heater but the output is so weak that we need a second unit or some other design. It’s really not sufficient to heat objects and people in the setting shown. It probably works better in an enclosed space or hanging lower.

quite warm
Have had this installed for a few weeks and so far have 0 complaints. it has two stages of heat, it gives an instant warming halo that feels like the sun. It is also very bright, so keep that in mind.

Great item. Would recommend to all...
I have to say I live in Canada where the nights are chilly, or very cold. I just received this product and have set it up. The heat is just fine for this area and as a bonuse the light from it lights up my gazebo with enough light for my family and guests enjoy themselves. It's only been the first night but I can see there will more throughout the winter.. Great item.. I recommend this for your colder nights and days. Thanks Amazon.
