Good Net, Good Value, BUT...

NOT FIVB / USAV regulation size; Only 36 inches from top to bottom, rather than 3 meters / 39 inches; This is the sole reason I didn't rate it higher. AND NOT a Macgregor Pro Power 2. The brand name on the net is "Gold Metal Athletic Products". Neither the Macgregor brand name, nor the Pro Power 2 model name appear anywhere on the net or on the packaging. The box says, "PRODUCED BY SSG, INC.", which appears to be a direct marketing company. The brand doesn't bother me as much as being misled. OTHER (Not criticism) The top cable measures 40 feet, 2 inches long & the bottom cable measures 37 feet, 1 inch long. On May 3, 2012, the same net sold on eBay for $20.50 plus 7.99 shipping. It appears to be presently available on eBay for $28.99 +$13.99 shipping [...] It does appear to be a decent net.

Good value for a sturdy net

Totally met my expectations. Good value for a sturdy net. Shipping was fast with Sunday delivery at no additional expense (amazon prime) Don't expect to get a couple of light poles and some tent stakes to support this net. It will require moderately stout, well supported poles, or a bit of engineering if you don't want permanent poles in your yard. If you are looking for easy mobility for the beach or park this one may be a tad heavy although with some thought into a system, mobility is not out of the question, but, the net's got some beef. I can't yet evaluate durability over substantial time but it hasn't blinked in the 1 1/2 month we've had it up in the Kansas summer sun, wind and rain. Yes - family is very satisfied. cjr

Gold Medal Volleyball Net

There is no mistaking that this net is heavy and well constructed. I am so pleased with how sturdy this net actually is. I have bought many others in the past for the same amount of money and they torn and were so cheaply made. This net is durable, strong lines/ cables holding the net itself, & far superior to most net at it's price. It was wider than all our previous nets, therefore we had to extend a pole out. However, it was well worth the work. Our family loves getting together and playing volleyball. Big and Heavy!!

This is a nice quality net but be prepared to have a very heavy net. It dips no matter how hard you try. It’s so hard to get right! Good quality

Accomplished the goal

The net is pretty long but it worked. I do like the upper and lower cables to reduce sagging of the net!

Works well for a rec league I run. The cable running through the top was a little long for our fixed poles. But the net seems to be well made and was easy to set up.

High Quality for Good Price

I like the net a lot. It has vinyl coated steel cables top and bottom with attachment loops. On the net ends are wooden dowel rods that run from top to bottom with 3 sets of string ties on each end for tightening the net weave itself after the cables are attached and tightened. Of course, it does not have "antennae" on it, but I don't miss them. Overall a great net and a good value. Very satisfied.
