Top rope makes it easy to see and fill this haynet

Fits easily over a muck bucket to fill. Just add a double ended snap and securing this net to a fence is easy. I have used this for 2 weeks and so far no holes. That is a good sign.

This one lasted longer than others I've bought, but . . .

I ordered one that came in purple. It was ugly but seemed to hold up very well -- no tears or holes or fraying. So I ordered a new one in Black (which is the color I thought the first one would be). It help up for a good while but now has 3 gaping holes in it. The only way I have found to repair it is to use small carbiners to reconnect the "diamonds" of the weave. I'd still order this product again as it really does last longer and doesn't fray out like the cheaper ones. And I really need the small hole-slow feeder net for my horse which is great until there is a tear which eliminates the purpose of paying up for a slow feeder net.

Great for my Pygmy goats

The media could not be loaded. This is a second net i bought for my goats, so they can have one in their shed and one out in the yard. It works great, and is sturdy enough for them to lean their whole weight on it when they are almost climbing it to get to the tastiest bit of hay. It works best with light loose hay that they like (I'm currently feeding Orchard Grass), they eat it down to a completely empty net. When I fed Timothy, the hay had some stringy stalks in it that these spoiled goats refused to eat, so they would leave the stalks in the net and scream that they are hungry. The net made it harder for them to dig through the stalks to find the choicest bits. But with the hay that is all edible the net works great for them. I find it easy enough to fill, just open the net wide and shove a flake or two in.

Works for my 3 Nigerians.

Only have had to untangle one goat twice. The girls don't get stuck. But my buck does. Usually just shoves his face in a bit too far and hit horns tangle a bit.. Solution is just don't have it out when you won't be around to rescue and don't let it hang empty.. Works great though. Saves a lot of hay I think personally. And is way better then buying an 80 dollar feeder.

Size

They do not mention the size in net openings. It is 2” most of my other nets are a 1” 3/4 that small difference is more waste hay falls thru when they are eating so beware. Will not buy again

Two different sizes

I ordered two of these at the same time. I am pleased with the construction and the thick rope tie. However, the rope tie is a bit short, making tying a bit difficult. And my two nets are different sizes. In one, I can easily fit three of the large, 110lb. bale, thick flakes. In the other, in order to close the top and be able to hang and tie, I can only fit two, plus a bit more from a third flake. This is frustrating but we make it work. It really helps a lot in saving hay, as my horses tend to be wasteful with hay! (And hay is expensive nowadays!) I would appreciate a longer rope-tie, and consistency in net sizes. But otherwise, I’m pleased.

Didn't last.

I was disappointed with how fast the netting started to come apart. Within first few days I noticed that the netting came apart. No fraying, just seemed to come apart from knotted area. I tied it together and now have more netting broken. These area you see fraying but in this short period of time that I've had it I'm very disappointed.

We purchased two Nets about a month ago. So far so good ,we use only for night time feeding we can fit almost half a 30lb small bale of hay in each. Bought these to help slow down our horses eating so they can hopefully lose weight but still be able to munch for a long time. The net itself is holding up good the drawstring however on one of the Nets is starting to unravel. The only Annoying Thing about these is that if you don't knot the drawstring it easily comes out of all the loops and you have to put them back in all one at a time!

Weaver 4Leather slow feeders

Love these slow feeders. Seem quite durable and holes are perfect size . I put 4 good sized flakes in 1 and my horse eats on it from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm . Only disappointment was I ordered 2 more after I tried 2 and the 2nd order had one that was smaller. Dosen't hold as much but I notice the bottom is not squared off so something in the making of it went wrong but for the $$ not worth sending back. Still usable. I have 5 now and am pleased with my purchase
