You can't beat a Weaver product
Work like it charm. Gives our horses something to think about instead of gulping down as much hay as possible

Works for goats!
This drastically helped with the hay wastage from our little herd of 3 Nigerian goats. Purchased in 2020 and finally need a new one so decided to leave a review. My husband did purchase a cheaper option that didn’t even last an entire month! Feel like it lasted a long time for their main source of food. The key is to hang them a little higher so the goats don’t eat from the middle or get their horns stuck. I have 1 greedy eater that likes to head butt the bag and hanging a little higher stopped this. Sadly this bag is almost $5 more than my 1st purchase but I guess inflation….

Mostly great!
I’ve been using this net for my three goats and it’s been an improvement over my previous 2x4-mounted metal hay feeder. I have the net suspended from the ceiling of the goat shed and they can’t jump up on it and ruin the hay or get their legs caught in it. I have a little trouble getting the flakes into it because it’s hard to hold the top open with one hand. I think I might have made it easier by tying ropes to each side and suspending them from the roof to help hold the top of the netting open. In general, it’s a big improvement!

Best hay net yet!
My girls have gone through numerous hay nets. I’ve got one that is determined to chew it off its tie so she can break it free and dunk the whole thing in her water, I’ve got another one that will ignore her jolly ball and other enrichment toys to play with her net. These have lasted the longest of every net I have tried and they are just stiff enough that putting flakes in them is easily a one person job.

5 months of heavy use and as good as the first day we used it!
We have 2 horses and use our hay bags extensively. Morning and night they are in use. In the past we have used Tough 1 brand, but found that they get holes in them so easily, and the cinch string at the top breaks almost immediately and has to be replaced by hay string, which interestingly enough, lasts way longer than what it comes with. The first Tough 1 brand ones we bought a few years ago were okay, but the newer ones just don't last. In contrast the Weaver leather hay bag is working out fantastic. It has a heavy rope cinch at the top, not the flimsy type Tough 1 uses. It I could give it 100 stars I would. I love, love, love it! Actually am buying another one to replace a Tough 1 that has a hole in it big enough for a flake to fall out! :) Yeah for Weaver leather. Making and selling a quality product. Thank you!

Ideal for feeding horses the way nature intended them to eat.
Very pleased with these nibble nets. Netting is stiff enough to fold back for easy filling and so far strong enough to withstand grabbing and pulling before horses go the idea of nibbling. Took a day for horses to get the hang of nibbling the hay sticking of of the holes but now they nibble for a while then go out into the pasture and return when they want. Horses now have hay available 24/7 and they actually seem to waste and eat less as they only eat when they want to and not gorge in two sitting per day. Feeding is easier too. I don't have to worry about being on time for feeding. So far they haven't emptied their nets for two feedings per day so I can refill it in the afternoon or evening. Only change I may make is buying more so I have one filled and ready to go to make busy mornings go faster.

Small enough holes that small animals can also use them!
After carefully reading TONS of reviews, on numerous slow feed hay nets available, I decided to purchase this one. Am I happy I did! I originally ordered it for my mini pony, probably in March, who made a massive mess with the regular hay nets. It works WONDERFUL! And recently, we were surprisingly blessed with twin lambs, and twin kids! So I gave my ewe the hay net, which still works wonderful for her and the lambs- no worries about heads getting caught! I ordered a second, just last week, for my nanny goat, and no worries for her or her kids getting their heads caught, either!! I do hang them both, about a foot off the ground, and try to keep them full, so there are no issues with little hooves getting caught! They are holding up very well so far!

Okay
I bought his for when my horse stayed in a stall at night because she has a tendency to spread hay around her stall and pee on it. This has kept the mess level down to a minimum. I do however feel that the tie string is just a tad too long (I also wish it was purple like the rest of the net, but thats not very important.) It has held up great to a very determined pony, and after several months, still no rips or large holes. It also lasts throughout the night so the holes are a good size for making 3 large flakes of hay last until breakfast.
