Perfect for inflatables!

The 54 inch size is perfect for small inflatable boats. You get a two oars that are nice and light weight 3 piece aluminum paddles! You can’t beat that at the 24 dollar price point!

Best for two man boat

I first got some of these oars included with a Seahawk 3. I found them very tough but much too short for optimal rowing. For the larger boats they should be 6” longer. However I bought another set for my Challenger 2 boat and found them to fit perfectly. If you have a Seahawk or Challenger 2 boat ditch the plastic “French” oars and buy a set of these. The boats themselves only last me a year or two but the oars last much much longer. Easily break down for packing as well. I have carried these oars hundreds of miles. Now if only Intex would make a longer set for their bigger boats…..

They can fall apart

I took my intex excursion 5 out for the first time yesterday on a slow moving spring fed river with the family. About half way through our trip, one of the oars came apart and it floated away. We were able to paddle over using the other set and grab it, but, had I been alone I may have lost it and then been stranded. These connect with the hole in one pole and then the pin you press down to latch into the other pole. While rowing, that pin was pushed down far enough by the boat that it slid out. These could definitely use a 2nd pin / hole to prevent that. Or, some other completely different design altogether like a c-clamp. I'm new to all this, though. Would I buy them again? I'm not 100% sure I would. If I go out solo, I plan to always bring a backup paddle in case this happens again. Being stranded would suck, the river I was on is a state park and you aren't allowed to get out of your kayak / boat.

Very easy to store on smaller boats. Haven’t had to use them yet but they seem to be very well built.

Excellent economical paddles

i just picked up an intex K2 Explorer and was pretty frustrated with the stock included kayak paddles, you get wet too much and its not a smooth experience so I decided to try this se t as it was 25 dollars for 2 54" paddles, I was thinking that I would cut them down to a perfect size but at 54" they are pretty much ideal. while they are row boat paddles they work perfectly as canoe paddles, I am likely to print out a T-top handle at some point but the handle is actually thick enough at the top you can get away without it. I paddle for about 2 hours and no issues after I sanded the seams on the top handles. the only complaint I have and it's a minor one, is the snap in clip system kinda sucks. you need a lot of force to unclip them, and they stick out way too fat when engaged, I plan to cut them down a bit and make them almost flush with the tube as my hand wants to be right where clip sticks out. better surface paddle area than the stock paddles allowing for nice smooth strokes that get you going nicely. I completely recommend these, I have had no issues with separation of any kind. we've given it nice power strokes and smooth paddles and they have performed excellent, plus we get the added benefit of likely using this with our grand kids dingy. Missing o-ring

The oars are definitely decent, but one of the o-rings is missing and the carry bag has a huge rip making it unusable, so now I have to take the time to either find and buy another or return the item.
