Beautiful

I ordered three candle holders to go on our dining room table. They are very simple but elegant. Once my candle rings come in this is going to add a formal touch to the room. Great buy!

Lovely glass candle holder

This Reed and Barton glass pillar holder is not a large piece but it catches the light well and looks quite graceful and elegant. The production quality is high, and I noticed only one tiny air bubble in the base and no other blemishes, including no seams. Its lines are classic but it will go with most any style of decor. I even put it next to some other, much much more expensive candlestick holders (from the fancy jewelry company with the blue boxes) and it actually blended surprisingly nicely with them. I was a little taken aback that this item arrived in an Amazon delivery bag rather than a box, and even muttered a few choice words when I realized what was in there, but the Reed & Barton box was sturdy and it arrived in perfect condition. This is nice for a gift or to complement your own home.

Sturdy and stylish, adds class to a table or centerpiece

I have other Reed and Barton candle holders and they have held up nicely over the years; this looks similar. Those, like this (I imagine!) will look nice on a holiday table, as part of a centerpiece, or even standing alone with candles. The light looks excellent refracted through the glass. I give it four starts, because despite how classic this looks, I still think it's overpriced for a single candle holder.

Beautifully Crafted, but Not Intended for Candlesticks

This is a gorgeous candleholder. Elegant, yet simple. If you look down into the stem, it may seem like it will hold a simple candlestick, but actually it is sealed in glass, so the candleholder will only hold pillar-type candles. I was impressed by the weight and reflective properties. Depending on the candle, ambiance of the room, and what the candleholder is placed in front of, the base and stem reflect light and objects in a magical sort of way. Reed & Barton is a well-known, respected, high-end brand that was established in 1824, and you can feel confident that this would make a great gift.

Simple, clean, well made

The Reed and Barton Weston Medium Pillar Holder is a very simple piece, simple in both form and function. It is beautifully made, no seams or bubbles. It will never be mistaken for a mass produced stamped piece. As someone who works with hot glass, I admire the craftsmanship. It is very well made, clean enough that it could almost be mistaken for crystal.

attractive and good quality

Reed and Barton Weston Medium Pillar Holder, 1.00 LB, Clear is a nice quality glass decorative piece for the home. It is heavy, and pretty. I used it to present a birthday girl with her cupcake, and it was a festive display. In general I will put a pillar candle on it and burn it on our entry table. This comes in a nice box and would make a pretty gift.
