Definitely get the Gorilla tough and clear double sided mounting tape...

I ordered 4 of these and have had them on my windows for a few months now and LOVE them! I had read a review before I purchased them to go ahead and order a double sided mounting tape because the original adhesive isn't strong enough. So I ordered the Gorilla brand off amazon and it has worked SO well. I heated up the double sided tape and the original adhesive to make a good bond before installing to my windows. I didn't have to cut mine at all because they fit inside my windows really well. The last one I installed has only started to come undone 1 time. I thinks its because I was rushing to finish and didn't heat the tape up as well as I did on the other 3. These are a GREAT price and I loved that I didn't have to drill any holes into my windows. I read in other reviews that they sometimes get a little crooked when raising them or pulling them down, this is an easy fix. Just raise them all the way back up and then try again. It corrects itself. I use 2 hands to raise or pull down to prevent this from happening. Highly recommend!

Works on flat surface metal door.

Works on flat metal door. Was worried it would look weird since I wasn’t installing on border of the door frame… to my surprise it worked well. Construction at the house has made it hard to install proper blinds, so this is a nice temporary fix. U can even cut it to adjust the size… & yes it does cut with a kitchen knife, a sharp one at least. As for privacy it’s pretty sheer. Adhesive is questionable since I just put it up today. I would suggest ordering a darker color than white because the material is cheap & definitely looks like it’ll get dirty fast.

Adhesive issue

The look and quality are what you expect for what you pay for. I purchased these for a couple windows for the upper level in a house and don't need form, only function to block the sun coming in. The adhesive is the biggest issue, the first one only stuck for 2 weeks, the second only stuck for 4 weeks before starting to peel off on one end and I imagine it will be fully off in a day or so, and this is with not pulling them up or down constantly as they were just left pulled shut the entire time. I will be looking at remounting them using other means but for the price and ease they are worth the extra effort. I also made sure I bought the size just smaller than the opening so I did not need to do any cutting.

It works but nothing special

The directions suggest to cut with a kitchen knife which I used and I also tried a couple other knives. It was pretty hard to cut through the thick plastic and the edge were jagged. The plastic edges ended up cracking as you can see in my photo because I was having to push so hard with the knife. Once I put the end caps on and hung it, it’s hardly noticeable though. It’s been a few days and so far it is sticking well (I did wipe with alcohol to clean before applying). It does allow some light through but it also feels like we have privacy now (I haven’t checked outside at night to see if you can see through or not). Overall it works but it’s a short term solution for us. They look basic but for the price that’s what I expected.

Almost perfect

I do want to comment on placing this on a door. I mounted the unit vertically on a door rather than horizontally as is normal on a window. I was surprised at well it worked. The shade fits flush against the door and operates just as easily as it does in a window. I was pleasantly surprised.

Exactly what I expected and what was described. Was a little hard to cut, not as easy in the picture but after some struggle I did get it done. Had to put extra 2-sided tape with it, but it's been holding over a week now, I really like the outcome, I would order again if needed.

Good Blind - hope it lasts

We have a fe if these blinds from IKEA, that we love. This one was more expensive, and cheaper quality, but the bonus is the ability to custom cut it. The cutting is somewhat easy - took quite a bit of pressure to get through the plastic pieces - even with a newly sharpened knife. Also, I found a slow sawing motion (with non-serrated edge) worked best. Worried a little about the adhesive strip. Seems a little underwhelming for something that will be pulled down in regularly. Question whether it will hold up. Let’s wait and see

Perfect look and ease of installation.

Love the look of the bright white shades. Provides good privacy as well. Only had to trim one blind - the trimming was a little messy but accomplished without too much problem. We do have a problem with adhesion of the one trimmed blind - it is a narrower one so not sure why that would let go while the wider, heavier one holds nicely in place.

A great product

Easily sized and installed. I had an issue with one blind sagging on the right side, so I called their help line. A very pleasant rep called me back within half an hour, and resolved the issue (just pull the blind down to full length, and push up again). I love the clean look.
