Love this bag
Great for edc. The zipper pulls were a little messy so I cut them off and replaced them with shorter paracord knots. I use the middle pocket for my pistol exclusively and added a thicker and longer paracord knot to that zipper for a quicker draw. Perfect bag.

Good but some strange quirks
This is a nice bag. It is replacing my [ASIN:B003TWZGRI UTG Multi-functional Tactical Messenger Bag - Dark Earth]] I have used for daily carry to and from work. The bag is used primarily to transport my Kindle Fire, lunch, spare glasses and some basics. I carry a multi-tool, first aid kit, eye drops a few meds and a flashlight. This bag has room for all of the stuff that came out of the other bag and allows for a small insulated bag in the main compartment. The strap is comfortable and slings well and the placement of the pouches and their direction of open works well when slung but force you to lay the bag on its side to access them. It does not stand like a backpack. Now for my few complaints. First the compression strap that goes from top to bottom is mostly pointless and seems to be off center. Then there is the webbing. While it may look like pals webbing it is not spaced correctly. The gaps between the straps should be the same as the width of the straps but on this bag they are not far enough apart. I strapped a small bag to the main ladder on the lower pocket and it will work but it puckers the webbing and makes threading the straps difficult. The other pals like straps are similarly off size either too close or in most cases too wide along their length from stitch to stitch. where straps should be divided into 2 wide grids they are single straps. Seems like a strange oversight. Finally the bottom of the water bottle pocket is angled and narrows at the bottom which means your flat bottomed water bottle will not go into the pouch as far as I would like.

Incredible vaule and great EDC bag.
I got this Sling pack earlier this year. I have been using it daily ever since. This is a good size bag for daily use. It is well made. I have many bags in my collection - backpacks and messenger style bags. I was looking for a bag that I can use when I am biking, walking, out and about, that would hold (comfortable) gear that I need. What I like the most about the bag is that the front bottom pouch holds my Vanquest EDCM-HUSKY Maximizer (Every-Day-Carry Maximizer) - which has items that I carry every day - like first aid kit and emergency supplies - Which btw has really come in handy. The smaller section above it allows me to carry emergency battery charger for my phone and other small items. The larger section can be used for a change of clothing, extra water, and other needs. I really love the fact that it has a water bottle holder - I was looking at Maxpedition Noatak Gearslinger -- but could not justify the cost at a 56 dollar difference. The sling fits comfortable on my neck and across the body in the right places. Even with packing it to its max compacity it feels light on the back and the shoulders, where backpacks dig in, this doesn't and shifts the weight across the body rather than just on the shoulders. The zippers flow well and allows you to put items in at the top or on the sides. Even with packing it for a day trip with my nieces and nephew who always want their snacks and water bottles, it wasn't a hassle to take things in and out. without taking it off. It easily slides to the front for easy access. Update 7/7/15 I wanted to attach morale patches to the bag so I purchased a 2-inch wide roll of industrial velcro and attached it to the top pouch. So far so good. The bag goes with me everywhere and I have been modifying this bag to meet my days needs. It has come in handy several times. This is not a survival set but rather a daily need bag. Here is a list of what I keep. 2oz sport sunscreen 2oz Tan cream 1oz cream Adventure Medical Kit Ultralight Watertight Medical Kit 7 (with extra items I find myself using tin of Altoids My meds Toilet kit Fountain Pens and repair kit Notebook (several different types) EDC Vanquest emergency kit with flashlights, etc.. Thermal Sleeping bag -- the blankets were to flimsy Lint brush Scarf that can act as a light blanket Wipes Cold towels for summer Swiss army knife multi-tool. PNY 6X battery charger (this or something like it is a must if you are out and about all day) Samsung Tablet It can change from time to time. The one feature that I didn't think I would like but I come to love is the two zippers on the main compartment, I can either reach in from the top or unzipper and organize the inside pockets which makes it easier to get to the stuff at the "bottom" of the bag. I know that Red Rock Gear is aimed at men, but it would be nice to see and urban edition in pink or blue.

nice pack, decent layout inside, just one issue the quality of sewing could be a lot better.

4.5 stars, Amazing Value, Excellent day hunting pack
As others have stated the string in the water bottle holster broke after a week of use hunting. So far that would be the only negative thing I have to report. The fabric is extremely durable so far, weather resistant, zippers have been excellent, fairly comfortable to wear. There are so many pockets/organizers/loops and hooks to attach gear it really is incredible. Much better value than its Sitka counterpart. Other than the cheap fabric and string at the top of the water bottle pocket I have not found any real problems yet. I would have preferred to give it 4.5 if that was an option. Don't pay full price neither.

looks and feels sturdy, well made
As advertised, looks and feels sturdy, well made. Will be using it as a range bag, it holds all my shooting gear, ear pro, cleaning stuff, tools, bipod, small amounts of ammo etc. Only had it a few weeks so time will tell but so far so good.

poor sew quality on side strap - tears out from pack too easily
I really want to give my Rambler Sling Pack a better rating. I really liked using the pack... for the first week that I had it. First, as noted in another review, the string that secures the water bottle side pocket came apart. I was prepared to overlook that until the side strap that attaches to the main sling easily tore out from the bottom of the pack where it was sewn in. I had clipped that strap into the main sling and was just pulling it tight (not hard) as I had been for the past week when it just tore out. Not impressed: looking at the frayed end, it appears that an uneven 1/4 inch of the strap end was poorly sewn into the corner seam at the bottom of the back padding
