Great product!!

I’m a retired plumber and used it my entire career. An excellent pipe and fitting sealer but use carefully because it’s hard to clean up if you’re sloppy with it.

Works exactly as intended.... haven't blown up house yet.

I bought this gas pipe thread sealant for some gas plumbing to install a gas range. I had never done any gas plumbing, and after watching some videos I purchased this rather than tape because I wanted to make sure I got a really good seal, since you know... leaking gas? Anyway I plumbed my lines and used this sealant at each connection. The jar has a lid with a stick and ball on the end of it, so its easy to scoop a bunch out and lather it on the male and/or female ends of your pipe to get a solid seal. I sealed a couple joints and immediately put the system under pressure,and after adjusting one connection, the system held at 25 psi for 30 minutes with no leaks! Just be wary about getting it on your clothes, I had coveralls on but one of my tee shirts got ruined because a glob got on the collar somehow, and nothing I could do would get it out of the cloth. I fully recommend this product and will be buying another jar when I undertake my next gas plumbing project, a gas dryer!

Best product for sealing pipe thread, never mind any choice in Teflon tape.

Bought it based on a glowing review somewhere. I am doing tight quarters plumbing with many pipe threads putting in two filters prior to the water heater intake. I want toe be able to bypass the filters, in case of filter replacement, leaks, etc. Pipe thread works unless there is some slight movement in the entire assembly. Then it starts leaking. It becomes a game of whacka mole with thickening the tape in other places, causing leaks elsewhere. This product is preferred by plumbers who only use teflon tape where it is visible to the end-user, quoting my reviewer. Great product. Will use it from now on.

Rectorseal 25631 seals worn broken threads

Had issues with a badly cut thread on a 1 1/4 pipe for a home generator natural gas black pipe supply line. Disassembled the section of pipe and resealed with Rectorseal 25631. This sealed where a Teflon base sealer failed to. Highly recommended for any black pipe used with natural gas.

You can’t go wrong with this stuff!

My Dad always used this stuff and I always thought what a mess. Then I had a little project and I used Teflon tape and it still leaked. I called the rectorseal company and asked if it would work in my situation. They were great, he explained exactly what to do and I have not had a leak since. Great product and great customer service. Dad knew what he was doing and now so do I!

Easy to use, no leaks when I'm done! Perfect for sealing pneumatic lines for compressors. I've used paste in the past and after trying to use tape a few times since I'll never use tape again. The only negative is it can be messy, but that's a user issue. Not the paste.

so far so good

I bought this to seal new connectors to an existing propane line. The paste was as easy to use as anything else. So far no leaks and the seals are holding. Not sure how well it will hold up being out in the weather but only time will tell. I like paste over tape because it can get in the nooks and crannys easy than the tape. I've never used this brand before as I usually buy at my local big box store. It seems like it is of good quality and the price was right.

Do not waste your time with gas tape. This does the job. Overpriced by about $15. Local hardware stores carry for much less.

It's kinda ok, but not tested out yet

It's isn't that good, because it's slow dry, n surely it drying really slow (like almost a week. Didn't have a chance to test out how it's sealed, hopefully better than the one it's saying fast dry. That's why I give it a three stars, and would update when I tested it out.
