This product is fantastic.

This product is fantastic. It works much better than using tape. I have tested it on several home plumbing installs, and it did not leak. I highly recommend this product.

Good stuff

I had a stubborn leak on water softener where the head screws into the resin tank. After several other products that I tried this one shut it down and it’s under some constant pressure. I just followed the directions for use and applied product to both male and female threads. No more leak finally.

It works ok

It definitely sealed the leak that I was fighting with but the tube popped open at the end a squirted stuff everywhere so I ended up wasting half the product.

Expected Better

Takes a lot on both male and female sides to have no leaks. Used on potable water lines and had to use a ton or it still leaked water. But you can use it on everything metal and pvc and potable water to propane. Price point is okay. Rectorseal just hasn’t wowed me like other pipe dopes.

Great for connections in hard to reach places

Teflon tape is hard enough to use in open spaces let alone inside cabinets or walls. The tape gets tangled and twisted and useless if you don't lay it flat and smooth. This pipe dope eliminates all those problems - just dab a little on your finger and smear it around the threaded joint. Yeah, it's a little messy but your joint won't leak. This tube is perfect for homeowners - it will probably last you years since you only need a tiny amount per connection.

Excellent

For the life of me I couldn't get some of my pipes to stop dripping with Teflon tape. This work and was easier to use. Absolutely would recommend.

Messy. Gets everywhere. Full of fibers that get stuck in the small tube outlet

This stuff wasn't meant to be stuffed in a tube with a 1/32" opening. It's full of fibers that get stuck immediately. Buy the can instead with the applicator brush. That said it is good stuff if you dont like Teflon tape or don't know how to properly apply it (chances are you don't) or you're just out of it. Its much more idiot proof than Teflon tape.
