It works! Give it time to “set”, but it is good!

I use it for drawer liners/shelf paper… I hate it slipping in the drawers, so I put this under each corner, just a small piece, it it works great!

Great clear gel for delicate pieces on display.

This works great, as long as it is a level flat surface. The gel over time settles and can run if the surface is not fully level, but excess is very easily rubbed off if needed.

Have a cat and shelves you want to put things on? You need this.

???????? I put a shelf in front of a window for my plants. Even though my cat has multiple other windows this is now his favorite. After multiple broken pots, cups, and other things I probably shouldn't have put there I found this. I haven't had an issue yet. I've even gifted some to friends that have models or figures and they also love it. I will say temperature does matter and I had to learn that the hard way. If it's too hot/cold it will run like you've spilt water and the items if they aren't stable will fall. Luckily the fossil I had it under didn't break when it fell from standing upright. It is easy to clean up and doesn't stain. At least on nothing yet. My temperature does fluctuate more than most and i live in a hummed environment so it may not be a very common issue at all.

Great for its intended purpose but....

It does exactly what I needed it to do and kept various items in place perfectly; however, accidentally getting it on objects it is not meant to get on can make it very difficult to remove. This is especially true if you didn't notice in time, so it's had time to settle in place. It's very difficult to remove from stuffed animals, for example. Throwing it in the washer helps with softening the gel enough to remove it manually but it is still tedious. It's not really the product's fault since it was an accident on my side, but it still would have been nice of it had been easier to remove. It IS fairly easy to remove from surfaces like dressers and bookshelves as well as the bases of the objects they were meant to hold down. It just isn't easy to remove from items that use fabric.

Museum Gel is Great for Drawers

I have many containers in my bathroom drawers for my makeup and skin care. But every time I open the drawer, the containers slide around. With just a little bit of this museum gel, the annoyance of sliding containers is over! This is a wonderful product and I am sure that I will find many other uses for it as well.

Love this stuff!! Ordered bins to put in my bathroom drawers but hate that they move around when opening/closing the drawers. Actually got the idea to use this off tik tok and so glad I did cause it works wonders!!!

Best for securing glass-on-glass/tile surfaces…

Items are more secure

This stuff works really well helping keep items more secure from being knocked over. Needs to be a clean dry surface and it wont stick well to textures like silicone. Just a couple tiny balls of this rolled up and place underneath an item is enough. Its not a total miracle though, things can still be knocked over with enough force. My cat hates it though because items previously easy to knock over are no longer easy targets.

Does not work for positioning jewellery.

After buying the product for positioning my priceless treasures - jewellery (for photography work), I received the product and was then able to read the small print included which states: 1) Base of objects must be in proportion to height and weight. Having tried the product, I can say it is unsuitable for the task I had intended. This product will not work for positioning jewellery, as jewellery rarely, if ever, has a base that is 'in proportion to height and weight'. Whilst you could say 'Museum Gel' it is designed for glass and crystal, the products holding characteristics are very limited to wide flat areas only. And not jewellery, nor I suspect glass and crystal, or any material, unless the item has a sufficiently large surface area relative to height. Live and learn.

100% Recommend!!

I recommend you get this if you live near an earthquake area, or just have kids that love to slam doors and shake items off their shelves! Will not work on an upright surface, but works perfectly on a flat surface. Once on it is easy to remove without damaging surfaces, and easy to reuse. I don't think I'll use the entire container in my lifetime, and we have lots of knick-knacks. (Plus Whiskey bottle displace bookshelves, with about a hundred bottles, and each of them has some of this under them so they don't fall over if there is an earthquake). Before we got this, anything on a shelf, near a door, would eventually shake forward and fall off. Now my kids can slam the back door without our display items shifting off their shelves and breaking on the counter or floor. I haven't had anything break since purchasing this and using it!

Bad batch? Couldn't get it to secure anything

Trying to secure a variety of small ornaments to my mantelpiece to prevent the cats knocking them over. This seemed less noticeable than the blu-tack I have used in the past. After 24 hours everything is just vaguely attached to the shelf - a small tap and it is loose. It will be returned as not fit for purpose.

Yup this is a must!

Not sure why I hummed and hawed about this product… I use these to keep containers in place in my drawers! Works amazing! And reusable! Don’t have any issues with my containers moving around anymore!
