it's a corkboard!
I got these to put behind a map that I stuck a bunch of location pins into. I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a big enough rectangle of cardboard. I did NOT use the adhesive squares that came with them because I honestly didn't think they would work. And I didn't want to rip holes in my wall if I wanted to take it down. I just used pushpins on each square piece to hold it up. It was difficult to hang and I have extra push pins in my map, but I'm confident it won't fall that way. I also needed to cut some to size and they were easy to cut.

Pretty thin
I ended up buying a second set and glued them together with gorilla glue. Work well now. Without gluing them together, push pins would go straight through.

Amazing product
I got these to make a world map on my bedroom wall. It was quick and easy to put up and works great for my painted map.

Great but don't use the stickies
I really like these cork boards. Just don't use the stickies! They are hell to get off your wall and don't even hold great!

They are ok for the price
Don’t depend on the adhesive tape that comes with this because you’ll be disappointed. Other than that, it does what it says.

thinner than I was expecting, and had corkboard dust
I was expecting a thicker corkboard, but it's not a huge issue as I am still able to pin things onto it. I'm just not sure if the wall behind the corkboard has gotten damaged as a result. Also, when I received it, it came with a LOT of corkboard dust on every panel, so just make sure to open this somewhere that you don't mind getting dust on. After I realized how much dust was on these, I took a lint roller and tape, and that helped the issue a lot, so that was an extra step I had to take prior to installing. But hey, I got these boards $4 for 4, so I did not mind the extra step. Update: USE COMMAND STRIPS WITH THIS. I didnt look at a lot of reviews before putting this on my wall. And I used the strips that this came with. Now, I've got a real hard to remove square strip on my wall. So that's annoying. Spare the despair, and use command strips to avoid repair.

Sticks easily, lined up nicely
These were thin. Using under and over a dart board, I might go with a thicker grade. Happy with the quality and the stick tabs. The tabs worked on textured wall.

Great Way To Purchase Cork Board In Pieces
I bought this to use for backing in making my own tiles to have under my plants. It's getting to be the time to bring plants in and I want a barrier between the plant and the surface underneath. I like the idea of making my own "tile" by using some samples I bought. To protect the hard surface, I wanted to use a piece of cork under the "tile". What I wasn't expecting was the sticky being in squares. It was probably my misconception. I thought the whole back of the cork had the sticky surface. The cork itself isn't stiff and with my "tile" also not being stiff, I have to be careful when I move it. But it still makes a good barrier between my plant and the surface it's on.

Wrong thickness
this is what it says in the description, 1/4 inch thick cork tiles are modular to create a customized bulletin board that holds push pins tight; for light use in low traffic work environments. What I did get was 8 cork tiles 3/16th inch thick as per the pictures. Why does it say 1/4 inch thick in the description and 3/16th inch thick in the pictures?? confused, I was wanting 1/4 inch thick tiles.

Not right size
These tiles are not 12” x 12”, they are 1/8” less, which ended up messing up my sons project for his cork board wall, now I have a 1/4” of wood left at the end with no cork on it, and it looks like a mistake, did not use the tape adhesive, so not sure how good those are, but according to others it’s not very good, value for money: went to Lowe’s for something else, & found really nice cork tiles there , very disappointed with this product.

Garbage.
Edit: When I removed these tiles from my walls, to make room for an actual cork board, the adhesive tore the paint from my walls. If you decide to buy these, I recommend buying your own 3M adhesive. These truly are garbage. Make sure you have the vacuum handy when you open these. Cork crumble everywhere. I ordered an 8 pack - it doesn’t include enough adhesive. To get around this, I cut the adhesive pads in half and stuck them to the corners of the boards. The colour and texture of the boards are inconsistent so don’t expect any aesthetic value out of these. The surfaces are also inconsistent. One in four boards is smooth cork surface. The others are rough, grainy, and crumbly - I had to brush them off thoroughly before sticking the adhesive pads to them. When I received them I noticed the boards were warped. I tried pressing them to get them back into shape. No dice. On the wall they are uneven and stick out. I advise buying extra adhesive and bordering the entire backside of the board with it. I’ve seen some reviews where it is recommended to pin them to the wall. Kind of seems like it defeats the purpose of having corkboard at all. If you’re going to do that, I’d advise you not to purchase this stuff at all. In all likelihood, the bare wall looks a lot better.

Way too thin and flimsy
Right out of the package the cork board started shedding all over my carpet. I applied four squares to my wall with the provided adhesive and went to pin on a picture only to find out that the cork board was much thinner than the thumbtacks amazon recommended to purchase along side them. Fortunately the pack came with 8 tiles so I was able to double the thickness by applying another layer of tiles on top. after only a few hours, the corner adhesive peeled causing half the stuff that was tacked on to fall off, breaking a picture frame I've had for years. Further, in the middle of the night, one of the bottom squares completely peeled off the wall with only three phone chargers worth of weight, leaving the adhesive square firmly stuck onto the way with no way to remove it without damaging the paint. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT Do yourself a favor and purchase a real one. Cost me far more in damage than it would've cost to purchase a proper cork board
