must have tool
this is a tool ive used more than once to untangle a knot. It is the handyish tool ive ever used and didn't know it existed. This tool will get you out of a jam on any wrong tangle or knot

not what i expected
I do beadwork so the circumference is a bit too big to get knots out of beading thread but works for other purposes.

I purchased this product not for beading or jewelry making, but for a book binding project I had. At first, I was afraid that this item would not be strong or durable enough to punch holes in my thicker materials (chipboard and cardstock), but once I opened it up, I could tell it was an adequate tool for my uses. It is VERY sharp, so definitely be careful when using this awl (I nearly skewered myself a few times). This is definitely a great addition to my toolbox.

best beading tool for knotting
This tool is simple to use and can be held in the hand while knotting so you don't have to put it down. Simply make a knot, insert this tool into the knot and slide it next to the bead. Remove the tool and pull the string against the knot to tighten it. Plus you can use the pointed end to undue a knot if needed. I have stabbed myself on several occasions, but that's my own fault! Great buy! Can't find it in stores either!

Good sticky pokey thing.
I like the look of this awl. Good feel in the hand too. Come with a tip cover. Just what I was looking for. I still have this very one. Years later.

Quality product. Nice grip.
This awl holds it's point and sharpness well during use. The soft grip handle makes it particularly easy to work with. This is my go-to awl after trying many options.
