Have had before
Lots of my belongings got left half way across the country and apparently these were ine of the items. So I had to order another set so I could hand tie a few quilts.

Exactly the right tool for fixing a broken couch; just remember to order multiple sets. You'll need them!
I needed to fix a poorly accessible seam on my couch. The good news is, these day it is easy to get very detailed instructions on both how to do this work yourself, and on which tools to buy. The bad news is that there are still some surprising challenges (see below). To be on the safe side, I bought an assortment of needles. For my application, the curved needles were the most appropriate tool. And I found there isn't really much of a difference in thebrands that I tried . So, buy whatever is cheapest; they are all very similar. I also discovered that these needles are a lot more brittle than normal sewing needles. When working with leather, you often push the needle through the existing holes in the leather and you then uselocking pliers to pull the needle through all the way. I discovered the hard way, that even the slightest off-angle pulling can break the needle. So, my strong advice is to order multiple sets of needles! It'll save a lot of stress. Also, for a proper saddle stitch, you'll need to use two needles at all times. So, you should order at least three or four sets of needles to have enough. A good description on how to do saddle stitches is in this video: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=4042 Also, remember to order the correct type of thread. Waxed polyester thread works best (as discussed here: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=465). I had good luck withLeathercraft Waxed Thread , butRitza 25 is apparently another excellent choice for this application. It should be noted that locking this type of thread on the needle uses a somewhat unusual technique: https://youtu.be/Y0EL7K2NhYs?t=1013 I found that even when using the curved needles, it required a lot of dexterity and strength to get the thread through the existing holes. And in order to get a neat seam, I had to pull the thread really tight after each stitch. So, fixing a two-inch tear took me about an hour of work. With practice, this should get better, but I hope my couch won't give me any opportunity to practice more any time soon. Overall, the results look great though. Can't tell a difference from the factory-sewn stitches.

Great for upholstery
I needed a curved needle to fix a pull in my headboard upholstery. The kit was inexpensive and came with a ton of other needle sizes for future projects. Everyone should have this kit on hand just in case.

Good assorment of heavy duty needles.
I used a few of these needles with denim thread to sew several pairs of jeans with large tears in them and they worked good.

arrived broken
Poor quality control. How does one of seven needles break inside a sturdy undamaged plastic blister package?

Arrived Late
I am giving it 4 stars because it arrived late but totally worked for what I needed it to... I needed to stitch up a couch. The needles I used were strong and didn’t break!!! If they arrived when I was told they would I would of given 5 stars

Works Well for Sofa Repair
Great value. I used to use a normal needle to repair sofa and I ended up stubbing myself a lot because of the tricky angles you had to work with furniture. I used the curved needle to repair rips on a sofa and it worked very well.

No problem
Sewed through a canvas tent with multiple layers and it worked just fine. All the needles held up. Used to sew in a stove jack for a wood stove.
